FF14 community I need your help and wisdom against toxic people on the forum

Hello all,

Y'day I've posted a thread about a contest I've put up for FF14 where people can win a million gil, I've put a link to my video where I explain how the contest works.

I saw a reply of a person that got really angry with me (I quess).
How dare I promote my non-profit YouTube channel, the nerve of a person like me wanting to help people in the community

Within an hour or so my post got deleted.
There is no doubt in my mind that a forum moderator deleted my post, there is no way a moderator read my post and thinks it need to be deleted.
So my guess is that, that angry person reported and reported my thread till it got automatically removed.

So here is where I need your help.
-How can I contact a moderator to restore and protect my thread from bad intentioned
people ?
- I think the official FF14 forum is the way to reach people when it comes to all
ff14 related things, including the video's I've made for FF14 players.
Am I wrong?
- How can reach a wide FF14 audience without posting links on this official forum ?

Playing the game makes me happy and helping others to enjoy the game aswell gives me great pleasure.
I love the nice replies I got so far from people that where helped or entertained by my video's

I know and I've seen how great people are within the FF14 community so any help or support you can provide me is well appreciated

This doesn't work. For better or worse one (or a couple) of users CANNOT get your thread removed. Deletion and moderation are at the mods discretion .

To be honest, I highly doubt they'd restore that thread. Based on your description, it bears far too much resemblance to one of the phishing scams that frequently get circulated in the community. If SE were to start allowing those to get posted, actual phishing scams could start appearing the in forums.

The forums are not intended as a way to reach players. They're intended for player discussion and feedback. They would be a major mess if every content creator started advertising their channels.

Yeah restoring a thread would be silly I agree, it's easy for me to make a new post but I would be scared that it will be removed again.

It could be that my thread looks like a phishing scam because it contains a link, but all can see the link to YouTube and a moderator could test that for before deleting it and in my case it will always be 100% legit.

I dunno if the forum is not a way to reach players because of it's community. If I compare it with Blizzard forum, theirs feels very hostile and this one feels more like a friends that helpout.
Just like you taking your time to reply to my thread and helping out.

I am just thinking of an idea what you said about a major mess if every content creator started advertising.
It would be great if there was a section on this forum dedicated to helping out new content creators, the people like my that want to reach out to a wide audience and need help to grow
If the content is crap , the YouTube channel will vanish over time and so will the post and if it's helpfull , the channel will grow enough not to need to post on this forum to reach the FF14 audience

Making a topic by proposing a contest that asks people to write a comment on your youtube video + subscribe + watch your live twitch is not helping the community it's just a desperate attempt to get followers

Really you should stop your delusion the forum has rules if everyone was advertising like you it would be a mess

I recall that thread. Wasn't it 100 million? Anyway so many people lose their accounts by clicking a link thinking they will win, and that's not a good thing, nor something that that anyone on the forums should be "training" the more gullible members of community into.

After all; links on these forums can be made to look like anything. As an example click this following link, to go harmlessly to www.google.com and see! (It is harmless :P)

and for not helping the community... I already helped a few people, some new to the game and other that played along time but never been to the Diadem for example
There is no way anyone can bring me down when I know Ive helped people and I will continue helping others while I can

I never said I was there to help the community, I'm just a gamer and I give my opinion on the game, to say that I'm toxic because I give my opinion and you don't like what I say is ridiculous.

I also don't like liars who take people for fools to say they want to help the community when they only think about their own profit

I have a youtube channel too and you'll never see me advertising and if I ever do I'll be honest I have a deep respect for the rules unlike you that I know of that none of my topics have been deleted
