Ooo...make it like the scene from Pirates of The Caribbean 3 where they had to rock the boat to flip it or just stay on etc.. Could be fun kupo <3
Kupo!
More GATEs, slight revamp to existing activities, and Blitzball
Sorry double post I'm on mobile, but also +1 for FF7 battle square.
This does not solve the issue. It just shifts the problem by 20 minutes, and thats simply not enough time ahead. There are a lot of activities that cannot be completed in 20 minutes. And waiting for the next GATE to start to get effectively 39minutes still gives you wasted time. This only works if multiple gates ahead can be seen. For 2 gates the guaranteed effective time already becomes 40min by default (yes, it sometimes is 59, but this is not guaranteed). Its the guaranteed time that matters here. This time will tell you if you have time to do a duty. You already can do something similar:
Just ask any attendance there (a yellow mark on the mini map shows them). I think at each section there is a least one. They are using bunny uniform.
They inform what is the next GATE and when it will happen. Also, they can teleport you for the GATE's giver. However, they cannot tell you when a specific one will happen, just the next one.
The problem goes further due to queues. If you can see 1h ahead, but were 30 minutes in the queue. and the next gate shows up. Thats again 30 minutes wasted, or you potentialy miss the GATE (and these queue times can sometimes be expected). I think the GATEs should be given like 2h ahead in time, as that way you are nearly always guaranteed to be aware of the upcoming gates. This assumes a 30min queue and 1h duty (some duties can just go bad and take long), and still have 30 minutes spare.
I want the old GATEs back, and not at the expense of new GATEs.
Replacing GATEs was really, really stupid. I want more variety of gates. Not to see Leap of Faith and Air Force One happening 90% of the time.
well, I agree the leap and air force happens too often...
But, to bring that with emote back is painfull. I were horrible at that coordianted emotes always missing them xD

I hated the stealth and typhon GATEs but I'd rather have more GATEs even if I end up passing on some of them.
I prefer those two to pop often. The alternative is usually Slice is Right or Any Way the Wind Blows, and those are awful. At least you can guarantee you get paid 4k MGP with the others, 3k with whatever the other one is called.

While it's not much help, some you can have 29 or more minutes warning as the stage events last less than 10 minutes and you only need to enter Leap or Air Force by the end of the 10-minute window, not right at the start. This does not solve the issue. It just shifts the problem by 20 minutes, and thats simply not enough time ahead. There are a lot of activities that cannot be completed in 20 minutes. And waiting for the next GATE to start to get effectively 39minutes still gives you wasted time.
More usefully, there is also a schedule of different events depending on whether it is X:00, X:20 or X:40, so you can skip ones where none of the options interest you. One of the attendants at the main desk gives general info about the Saucer and will list the event schedule if you pick the right talk option.
You never had to coordinate the timing, just use the right one within the time frame.
Any Way is MGP for zero effort, once you work out the correct place to stand. It's not quite foolproof as you can get knocked off by AOE lines or thirds, but you dodge all the circles.
Rework the Slice is Right event so the ball-and-cup portion isn't pure blind luck. The rest of the event is based around observation and learning patterns, and then.....give a /ritualprayer and hope the kami favor you today. Kinda annoying.
