Not every cafe is NSFW (though it's probably the majority). From personal experience, a lot of people enjoy RPing their character and like having special made spaces to playing said character. People can usually 'work' for cafes too, making gil for playing their part, so there's some extra motivation too. I have an FC mate that makes an insane amount of gil just serving people food at a tavern and having chats with the customers like a real waitress. Paid by the owner + tips. Just another form of entertainment, really.

And I HATE ERP so much...

My concern is: as ERP increases and becomes more evident, less people will be willing to do true RP and less people will think this is a good way to play the game 'cause it's easy to misunderstand the difference between them. So, as ERP grows, the true RP shrinks... and this is very sad.

A good thing about true RP is: you don't need any mod to do it Just to learn some /emote tricks will do
Fortunately, we still have a lot of people doing it. And yes, it's a good way to get some gil
