Because that's reality. For or against it, this is what the people expect. Just treat it as background noise and pray that if the IP introduces the concepts then it does it in a natural way rather than an obvious shoehorn.
This, seriously. It would be meaningless if they come back for the next chapter.
I don't really care about them representing races in the Scions, but that particular organization definitely needs new blood. It feels like all their major arcs have already been closed, we really only have... what, 3 of them? With any semblance of adventure left?
And then there's Urianger.
They were not disbanded, they just need to make it look like they are disbanded.
Y'shotla was rather frank about that.

Imagine 1 female viera, 1 Hrotghar, 1 Roe and a male Highlander on the new party and each one having nice and epic new adventures for us to delve intoI don't really care about them representing races in the Scions, but that particular organization definitely needs new blood. And then there's Urianger.I'd just keep Y'shtola and Alisie from the previous team (maybe Thancred since... you know... it's Thancred u.u). Oh, and Yugiri could be fix in the team as well

I do get this as what the MSQ told at the end of EW. But like anything, you can’t always escape your past. Once a Scion, always a Scion. Heck, I can’t even talk to people without them mentioning I’m the savior of this or the hero of that when I just want to ask about plants
Naturally there needs to be more lalafells and catgurls in the scions
Come on. Look at the bright side, we only have one elven race. Not like some other games with 10+ variations of elves all around![]()
Looks like we'll be traveling with a catgirl, elf, and an actual dragon in the form of a small au ra in the meantime. I look forward to this.
I guess this is maybe what happens when people skip cutscenes or ignore the story? We get comments like this? (Note: It's made abundantly and repeatedly clear that the Scions were never disbanding. That's just the "official" story they're telling so the group can get back to being the behind-the-scenes kind of group they were always meant to be. The Scions still exist completely and entirely in every way, shape, and form.
