in dire need of advice/help regarding DSRU

hi, so im hitting a wall, and despite my best effort to try to "understand it" im still failing ...

here im at P2 at the red marker (meteorite/tower), i as a ST, despite my very best effort (watching guide/toolbox)fail still to understand this mechanics ... (truly ashamed of it ...)
did so many training that literally P1 and P2 (up to this point) i can literally do it with closed eyes ! but this ! nop ... (going with random that everytime change the macro/strat surely isnt helping either...) so here i am calling or should i say begging for help, for someone to maybe coach me in exactly as a ST, i do from time to time get it right if its either me or my duo that get it south but if i need to switch, its most likely going to result in a, game over, for me ...

so here i am asking for tips/advice for a ST in how to resolve this mechanics ;(

(friends everywhere told me that nobody wanted to ST this because of how busy we are, and slight mistake cost the grp dearly, clearly understand what they meant ...)

From your wording, I assume you're starting at the south stack.

So in general, you only have to pay attention to 3 people during this mechanic: your other tank and the two healers. It's important to understand which sides the healers start on in case you need to switch with one of them.
When the mechanic is beginning, watch your party list to see who gets the meteors. If its the dps, there is zero switching for you happening.

If meteors are on the tanks/healers, you follow a simple flowchart:

-is one on you? -> (yes) Then stand still, and choose a tower on the south side that ideally is opposite one of the towers on the opposite side that your meteor partner can take.

    V (no)
-Check which of the healers has it, or if both have it. If only one healer has it, see which healer it is and just go switch with them (hence why I mentioned earlier its important to know their starting points, you want to be able to know immediately that if its say, SCH, you'd switch with them at west, or if its WHM, you switch east). If both healers have it, your party should work out a system by which both healers & tanks will have static spots they're switching to.

In the event its the super bad pattern and someone makes the call to use W/E (assuming you do that strategy), the same logic can be applied in reverse:

-Do you have one? -> (No) stand still, you're not switching, and do towers as you normally do.

    V (yes)
Look at your party list and see if its you + your other tank, or if its you + a healer. If it's both tanks, you swap using the exact same static positions from the (no) scenario in the first setup. If its you + a healer, you know to switch to the opposite of them. (Since you know SCH is on West, if they have the other meteor, you know you'll have to go East)

For whether you go in or out for towers:

-If you have a meteor, you are always going out.
-If you don't have a meteor, you will only move out if there are two towers on your quadrant of the field. If there's only one tower in your quadrant and you don't have a meteor, you move in.

Above all, make sure to watch the party list. It gives you all the information you need to know if you'll be switching or not the moment the meteors go out. Only focus on your co-tank & the two healers in the party list, as they're the only ones that will influence how you do the mechanic.
