Reduce people's ownership who has more than 10+ plots

Some people here seem a lot more interested in harming other people's in-game experience than they are in solving the actual problem.

They won't apply rules retroactively and even if they did, you'd still have to contend with the people who have multiple accounts and use them to hoard.
Until they fix the supply issue, there is going to be strong competition for houses and people will do anything they can to get an advantage over others. It's just human nature to want something because it is scarce.

The sad thing is, I'm already seeing large houses in Empyreium that don't seem to have been touched since purchase. Will those people let their houses go? Probably not when the chance of getting another one is close to 0.

There are still those who have like half the ward or entire ward and had been grandfathered for four expansions straight.

I think they had them long enough, and auto-demolishing had been indefinitely on suspension due to real life crisis that's happening in Ukraine/Russia.

So if possible, please start giving these massive plot owners like 30 days to decide on which plot they should consider keeping and auto-demolish the rest. At least the nicest thing dev can do is refund all of the plots they spent.

That should allow few folks to put lottery in those newly emptied plots.

I'm all for this, grandfathered plots and players need to be gradually trimmed down. It's not about taking from other players, it's about enforcing the rules evenly and fairly, currently the people and FCs who have multiple houses grandfathered in are a huge loophole that needs closing. Give them some time to pick the houses they want to keep, and clear them out, and gradually reduce the number of allowed houses per service account and per FC until it's where it's currently at for everyone else. They've had years to enjoy their loophole in the system, but there's clearly not enough for everyone and the first step would be to limit everyone to just 1 if there's not enough.

How are you plan to do that when it is hold by multiple accounts?
Is it just because they are using same FC tag that can be alter at any time?
Those two at Mateus obeyed the rules and obtained their plots when everyone on Matefus failed to stop them because they are not seeing Housing is valualbe.

They had their time to enjoy their loophole and private wards, so yeah, I don't think they should be allowed to perpetually shut other people out of housing. Just because the game technically allows you to do something through a loophole doesn't make it right or mean people aren't going to be upset at you for it. They've had years to enjoy their private RP ward but they need to give it up to let other people enjoy the game too. Same with other people who did the exact same thing.

Sure, they could get housing when they played but I started after shadowbringers, I have never had a single time in my entire time playing this game where houses were available reasonably. Why should people who get into the game first be allowed to perpetually hoard something to prevent people like me from every being able to use it? Doesn't it make them look like dicks for holding onto it for years just so they can privately enjoy something and keep it from other people?

I wish people (to use a more friendly word here) like you would understand that there wasnt an loophole to begin with. SE said in the past buy whatever you can/want. After this they introduced the new rule (e.g. buy one Perso/FC House per World from the Placard). And this one is still in charge.

With your analogy it would be ok for IRS to retrospectively change tax rulings to getting more money from you. Jeez I wish people would use their brain even once in these days.

It was not a loophole.. It was written in SE rules you could own a house on any character that met the requirements.. They broke 0 rules and even followed the rules.

The problem lies with Se not supply enough housing for the amount of players.. Stop trying to punish people who followed rules and point your anger at the person who wont fix the housing issues..

There's nothing wrong with changing the rules. The rules existed then, but that was a problem with players hoarding houses, so they changed them. Everyone should have to follow the same rules. Why do you think it's ok that one person can own an entire ward while housing is out of reach for a huge number of players? They had plenty of time to enjoy their private ward, years in fact, but it's clear the system is straining and that needs to change.
It's not about punishing players, it's about making fair, consistent rules for everyone so that everyone can use housing.
