Plz stop with all this woke crap.
"Woke crap", oh boy here we go again. Look, ill keep it simple, because your inability to even spell "please" and needing to rely on "but my FREEDOMS MAN" makes me think you probably struggle with with any ideas past a 5th grade reading level. Gender locked outfits add nothing to the game. They do not make glams made specifically for males or females better, they do not add anything interesting to either side, and outside of upsetting a very small portion of the delicate community loosing their minds over men in skirts, having no gender restrictions on outfits does nothing to harm the community. They do however have the positives of: allowing for a much larger wardrobe choice for everyone, allowing people to make their character dress as they please, open a wider area so everyone dosent look the same, and most importantly for square, allows them to make less outfits while getting just as much money/player enjoyment out of them. And thats the important part. None of this is actually about "being woke", its just an easy business decision. If you can make 1 outfit and get 85 percent of players to buy it, your in a better position then needing to make 2 outfits and splitting that player base between 75 and 10, down gender lines (or at least thats how it feels sometimes). The only reason gender locked outfits existed in the first place was moral outrage from some of the biggest countries in the world. China has an outright ban on "effeminate males" because their delicate leader cant handle the idea of pretty guys because it probably gets him too hot and bothered in public. If anyone was being pandered to, it was people like you, now that they are making easier decisions on themselves the only people mad are people like you, screaming at the wind about "BuT wOkE bAd", sure theres been times and decisions where its true, being woke was indeed bad, but this isent it. TLDR: get over your fear of males in skirts. They wont hurt you.

They could have used those same resources to do other things, like I was saying prior.

Removing the gender lock on gear also doesn't necessarily mean they would do two variants for each and also fit them to each. Instead, I get the feeling they would just make a single unisex outfit instead. At least with how they treat viera and hrothgar, how they rarely adjust gear for tailed races, or even do ear holes for example. It really gives me the feeling this would be a "careful what you wish for" situation. Something would have to be cut or quality worsened to cater to this request. Or, in the case of the mogstation, you pay for both.. if we take the street attire for example.

This just reeks of the same self destructive wishes that killed TF2's style. Why contain it at this point? S'cool, lol.

The arguments about how gear isent fitted for all races is a valid one. There is no excuse for that, however at least on a personal opinion basis, id be more ok getting 1 unisex outfit that was nice looking then 2 middling outfits for the two sides of the coin. As for the resources spent, the end all of MMOs is that there is always resources spent on something that at least a portion of the community dosent care about. While there was probably a bit spent going back and reworking outfits, going forward just making them unisex will probably only mean a negligible amount of extra time spent on each outfit. The inability to make outfits work on every race in full is one of the only well made arguments ive seen, and its one I agree with. All races should be accounted for when making new outfits, but I dont think that aspect would be better accounted for if we had genderlocked outfits, and even less so on race locked ones. The more outfits added, the less time will probably be spent on each one. My main hope is we see a vocal portion of people push for the time being put in to make outfits work well on all races but also keeping the ideas of no gender/race locking.
