I think they mentioned that a lot of it is due 1.0 as plenty of the characters got already introduced there and ended up having the white hair for some reason. Hopefully they will give us a bit more variety in the future.

We can find only real red in one single color for highlights and not in all hairstyles... =/

well, if it's true, then this lala and the cat-boy aren't pure...

They should consider forget about this concept and go for a more diverse group. Not only in colors, but in races, as mentioned by OP and outfits too (I'm not complaining Scions outfits, they are amazing, but more variations and more often would be nice ).

Elezen are the 2nd most common race from Eorzea after Hyur so it's pretty natural they'd have a high presence. No one complained about or noticed Minfilia, Thancred, and Lyse all being Hyur. Alphinaud and Alisae are Elezen because their grandfather, Louisoix was an Elezen and they wanted to make new characters who connected to the old story. Estinien started as an edgy 1.0 job quest character and somehow got promoted over time from that to MSQ party member and then eventually Scion by virtue of happening to be an existing character with an existing story relating to the Dragonsong War and then after that, having been a prominent and popular character before so they brought him around again. Urianger... I pretend doesn't exist.

The white hair can probably be explained by standard JRPG tropes and the fact that the Scions came from the artist Akihiko Yoshida, who also gave us characters like 2B, 9S, and A2. I think Yoshi-P recognized the white hair being prevalent in an interview.

like, c'mon I won't complain about alisaie and alphinaud because they are siblings but then there's urianger and estinien too, thats quite too much for me.
and almost 10 years of ARR the only roegadyn to ever join the main cast literally died on the same "episode"

The devs can't even get hrothgar and viera gear right. Do you really expect them to figure out how to model the gear to fit the Bangaa and Lopporits? lol

The problem is that you see it from a racial point of view.
Whereas every member of the scions have their places for what they have done in turn since ARR, expansion after expansion.

Why make it a wokism?
