Direct answer? No. But the lack of new rewards and the fact that you can't participate in ranked if you want a different set of plates has meant that people largely aren't participating this season like they were last season.I've enjoyed ranked (for the most part) CC ever since it came out but now with Season 2 being relatively brand new, here I sit in a 45 minute queue on a weekend. The same was true yesterday evening for me. I highly doubt there are that many MCH queuing at the same time to cause this. What's everyone else's experience with this?
I would expect even-numbered seasons to be pretty dead in the water if they don't change how rewards etc work in 6.2. But fortunately, participation rates are one of the simplest forms of objective data to accrue, so I'm sure SE is aware of this and will consider solutions to it.

My queues are pretty instant. I didn't even know anyone had a CC queue longer than 5minutes...
I dunno bout the other ranks, but crystal queue is still only about 2-3 minutes.

Depends on when you queue. It isn't bad when you're queueing at peak hours. But I to be honest, I haven't been playing since I'm just not having fun with Warrior that has little to no defense and the how high damage and bursty CC is. Coupled with occassional glitches where purify doesn't work, and I'm ready to call it quits... =/

I farmed my first mount in the last week in 2 days in normal. I ain't touching ranked cause there is literally no need for me to do that.
I just do my WHM thingy in normal where there is no stress only waiting on the statistics to kick in for your win streak. As far as I have seen you lose around 4-5 then get an almost 10 game streak and go back to lose again. I imagine this is some sort of embedded balancing, which I don't mind cause once you understand it, then it's very easy to mentally prepare for it. No rank, no stress, still getting the rewards.![]()
I don't really personally know why people played ranked, is there some cool mount for it or something?
Once you get high enough, you tend to get better games on average. By time I hit 3000, it was fairly rare for me to get games where there were people that were just clueless or not even trying to win. People would still make mistakes or be playing a class that they obviously don't know well, but it was rare that people would just be completely ignoring the crystal, running in 1 by 1 like lemmings, etc.I farmed my first mount in the last week in 2 days in normal. I haven't had any issues so far in Cc. I'm enjoying it, more than Front Lines that's for sure. maybe it is because of the times you're trying to go in like someone said? Good luck! Hope the queues get better for you though!

My DC (Chaos, EU) is still alive during certain hours a day (Crystal Ranked). Sadly, I am not available during those hours. Any Chaos player can correct me tho.
I remember at the start of season 1, Crystal rank queues were instant for almost the whole day.
So yeah, if we compare the current CC queue to Season 1, it was better before, but that's normal given how lacking the rewards are (at least compared to The Feast). Everyone has obtained their Garo mounts, their desired Hellhound weapons & frames (I like the Diamond frame more than Crystal).
I feel like if they keep ignoring crucial fundamental issues such as Leaderboard Moderation, CC will die, at least the competitive side of it.
But just like the Feast had its core community keeping it alive in some way for 20 seasons, I assume CC will have its own, too.
