    This is kind of off topic Mal, but kind of on it....
    And I know its not possible with the current engine... but it could very well be possible with 2.0... don't know yet

    But it would be cool if the MOBs, especially NMs could interact with the environment more....
    A Bird NM that perches up in a tree... A Galago that swung from branches, a fish that jumped into the water at a beach
    I know having an issue where only ranged attacks can hit a MOB is dangerous... so you could have some incap (like wing or arm incaps) that stopped these types of moves

    This seems like fun!

    --- Deathgaze ---

    A flying winged creature with skeletal features.*

    Demon's Claw - Basic but powerful physical attack AoE with short distance facing his front.

    Twister - Deals moderate wind damage close-range at sides and back of Deathgaze and forcefully pushes back anyone hit by it.

    Firaga - AoE fire damage of course.

    Cursed Seal - Will ocassionally cast this on a single random target who doesn't have the highest emnity. The curse lasts for 15 seconds and if any magic attack hits Deathgaze during that time, the damage will be split between Deathgaze and the player who has been cursed.

    Phantom Wave - Begins using this at less than 50% HP. A very powerful attack that deals high damage. Has a 6 second cast time and hits in a long, straight line in front of Deathgaze. Also inflicts zombie status that converts healing magic into direct damage (Second Wind and potions are still viable) and makes fire damage x1.5 more potent. Status lasts for 15 seconds.

    Dispel - Begins casting this ocassionally at less than 50% HP. Will remove all buffs from a single target.

    Doom - When Deathgaze reaches less than 10% HP, he will slowly cast this on every player one at a time in order of whoever has the highest emnity to the lowest emnity, regardless of whether a previous target is dead or alive. When cast, a phantom with a scythe will appear behind the player and their movement will be bound. After 30 seconds have passed, the phantom will slash and deal 9,999 damage. If a WHM casts Holy, it will dispel their own doom.

    No man i think it is completely appropriate and i love this idea, it would give NM's their own unique techniques and AI. I think this would be awesome. Like for instance ant would burrow under ground ever now and then and come back up. A monkey could be swing through tress and stuff. Would be awesome way to emerge monsters with the environment.

    how about an enemy skill that switches the enmity of two players?

    how about an instanced battle against two guys: one which breaks down a high % of weapon durability and the other guy restores the %?

    While you are in the instance you are engaged and unable to change your weapon.
