It is disrespectful to enter alliance raids without watching a guide.

In Eastern societies like Japan, people do not want to disappoint their teammates. Therefore, they spend the time doing research, making sure that they know their rotations and the mechanics, and enter an alliance raid knowing the mechanics.

Unfortunately, it seems that many players in NA and EU do not care about other people’s time. The common sentiment is that:

If people want to learn by trial and error, that is their choice and is completely fine and natural.
This is you putting your own enjoyment over 7 other people’s enjoyment. It is what an individualistic and selfish culture promotes. Unfortunately, this will never change because it’s engrained in Western culture.

It's just an alliance raid, not a savage raid. If you don't want to deal with people going in unspoiled, make your own 24/24 alliance.

I have been playing on a Japanese server since 24-person raids came out.
There are many, many Japanese players who do not watch guides before their first time doing these raids -- even if the content is old.

Perhaps one big difference is that most people playing here will patiently wait for new players and even cheer them on while they watch the cut scene before a final boss.

Does this mean japanese players never go into new alliance raids when there are no guides out? Or will they wait till NA or EU players made guides? If not, how do japanese players make guides if they can't go into the raid because no guides exist?

First the japnese will hold a game show to determine who it is that will make a guide. Then that person will be sent alone into the Alliance Raid and be kept there until he manage to solo the entire place, while noting mechanics.

Stop making a nonsense. JP never ask sprouts to read the guide for 24 man.

Translation: I had a run in an alliance raid where there was a lot of newbs and even though the raids were all created to be cleared in generally three tries or less since day 1 release, I'm annoyed that I had to explain mechs to progress.
