And nobody has denied those suggestions would help if they can be done but constantly saying “servers dead” does nothing to help the situation either
Worse than that we have ostriches head in the sand coming to OCE suggestion threads, denying the issue for the suggestions attempted rectification in the first place claiming its all fine.

I mean none of these are saying that it couldn’t be better and not a single person has knocked back the solution with a “we don’t need you we are fine”, we all acknowledge that the servers could be better but dooming and glooming actively makes the problem worse
If people weren’t so hyperbolic this wound t be a problem, people should be able to offer solutions without asinine statements like “games totally unplayable on OCE” like what generally goes around on here
So now they have to say the exact words “we don’t need you we are fine”, yes lets start to play little word games now. ''we all acknowledge that the servers could be better but '' How do you know that we all acknowledge? what are you some mind reader with telepathic super powers? on what grounds do you have the authority to speak on every FFxiv players thoughts and opinions? how do you quantify that exact estimation? at this point of discussion semantic soup isn't what I'm sticking around for. So I'm glad that everyone supposedly knows it could be better lets start from there and build from there i'll leave my piece at that. Its a positive building block.I mean none of these are saying that it couldn’t be better and not a single person has knocked back the solution with a “we don’t need you we are fine”, we all acknowledge that the servers could be better but dooming and glooming actively makes the problem worse

Edit: ''If people weren’t so hyperbolic this wound t be a problem,'' Wrong, the problem exists regardless of peoples reaction to said problem.

The health of Materia is indicative of the overall state of Materia.

I mean it’s obvious us arguing is going nowhere but when I said “if people weren’t so hyperbolic this wouldn’t be a problem” I meant the back and forth defence and putting down of how healthy materia is not actually the overall state of materiaSo now they have to say the exact words “we don’t need you we are fine”, yes lets start to play little word games now. Thanks for the heads up ive now rectified the word that you already knew i meant, that way people will understand that there are metaphorically ostriches with their head in the sand, not literal ostriches I'm sure glad i got to clear that one up. Semantic Soup.
I think one thing that has really bothered me as well, and I do apologise if this comes off as a bit entitled. But OCE has not been mentioned, even in passing, in any live letter at all since it opened.
We were all so sure they would talk about housing in the first live letters after it opened but they didn't. No one had a FC house for months. I understand they probably wanted to wait for the global release of the lottery system but they could have said that? It was just crickets.
After Yoshi's explosive statement that cross-region WAS possible, then subsequent live letters talking about how NA, JP and EU would be able to datacentre travel, we were all really hoping for some word that maybe we'd be able to travel too. Again, radio silence. OCE was never mentioned.
They haven't even done like a little shoutout or anything, hey hope you guys are all enjoying the brand new datacentre! Or any sort of thing that people might watch and consider moving. There's been nothing at all. It's like ok, heres your server now gtf out of Japan. *Slams door*.
I dunno, I just thought with all the time and stress and money that went into opening OCE that they'd at least want to try show it off a little. Feels bad man.

I wish SE would do something like a sale on Tales of Adventure for OCE characters. -hint-
Spending $25 to skip to the end of Shadowbringers for my OCE alt is an option I haven't been able to bring myself to. On the other hand, except for reliving a few memorable moments, dragging myself through the whole main story line again is just becoming unbearable and I've put it on hold.
I've been invited to do content with OCE friends, but even though my level is high enough I haven't unlocked most content yet. It's a similar story with other people I've met who created new characters on Materia. There is just so, so much to do and unlock that many people aren't up to Aglaia yet.

Gotta give people a reason to move there. I originally moved there during the first week or two of the DC launching and thought it was fine at first. However, when my entire housing ward was basically empty except myself & prices for basic items were above and beyond overpriced compared to other servers, I left. Not to mention the fact that I could never get a single Frontline queue to pop, making doing the Garo event basically impossible. I've also never seen a completely empty PF until going to OCE. I've heard now that it's becoming a great place for roleplayers but content wise, not really. Like a Crystal 2.0.
It's not doom and gloom to speak on the reality of the data center so people can make informed decisions on whether or not it's worth the time they do have to play on it.
