Pretty sure its agaisnt ToS for starters.
I don't deal with any real world politics in this game. And many folks don't care to bring that mess into this game either. Abortion stuff has nothing even remotely to do with xiv so why is it here? Organize your stuff elsewhere where it'll actually matter n help change.
Eorzea doesn't have abortion issues so please don't bring em to our world here.

Keep IRL Politics Out of FFXIV
No "real-life political groups, religious organizations, or business entities" were involved with anything I was saying, including in the Party Finder- so I do not feel this is relevant; although the GMs clearly disagree.https://support.na.square-enix.com/f...la=1&kid=68216
■Political / Religious / Commercial / Promotional Activities
"Political/Religious/Commercial/Promotional Activities" refer to the act of engaging in activities and promotions that involve real-life political groups, religious organizations, or business entities that have no connections to Final Fantasy XIV. Even if the activity is for charity, it is prohibited as the activity is not relevant to the game.
Key Points
It is prohibited to engage in activities or advertisements in public areas where many players can see them, such as Shout and through the Party Finder. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.
In a closed environment within a private chat such as a Linkshell or Free Company, it is not considered a violation to raise such topics among peers, but if the conversation is repeated persistently, please be aware that it may be considered a violation depending on the circumstances.
Please note that Square Enix may conduct investigations and issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed.
I am disappointed that the community moderation team has apparently chosen to try to maintain the fiction that there's such a thing as an apolitical game or community, in a bid to preserve the comfort of some players.
We're simply expressing support for one another, and I see no good reason why someone else taking umbrage with that should in any way keep us from expressing that support. Many people in this thread clearly disagree, but I know I'm not alone in feeling that being able to express support for one another's rights actually strengthens one's sense of community and belonging within the game.

Is it really fiction? Or is it just a view you personally don't have? Because I didn't encounter any real world politics while doing msq, pandemonium, agalaia etc. Nor do I encounter anything of the sort messing around in city states. You may see it because you chose to frequent the spaces that inject it into the game. That's a you issue respectfully. No "real-life political groups, religious organizations, or business entities" were involved with anything I was saying, including in the Party Finder- so I do not feel this is relevant; although the GMs clearly disagree.

There’s social media for that & raise awareness through it.
We’re all a variety of individuals with different walks of life, age & ideals.
I will have to agree with the GM on it & it’s not convenient to bring any manner of political sorts into the game (that’s why we play to avoid irl stuff; not drag it along).

Nobody thinks the games producers or the players have no politics. They are simply trying to reduce the effect the outside world has on a service people literally pay for to escape reality in many cases.
People, in general, don't want the real worlds problems to leak into the game or just be REMINDED of them blatantly.
If I want to stop participating in Lolorito's manipulation of everyone around him, sacrificing and destroying lives through his political manipulation and yet doing just enough for the preservation of the overall good that it would be worse to depose him or eliminate him... I can. I can stop subscribing, I can stop playing.
I have no such choice in real life political struggles. No matter how I wish I could, they will be there when I turn off my monitor and get up from my chair. I don't need or want what amounts to billboards along the way reminding me of the crappy world that awaits when I'm done and the people running the ENTERTAINMENT SERVICE I pay for agree.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

you, me, everybody in here we are LITERALLY paying them money to exactly DO that, and from the reaction you seems to be having towards the GM teams, mean they are doing a good job
The only relevant vigils here are the Stone, Steel, and Dusk variety.
Sort of foreseeing this came about to close down.
FFXIV = being something else & not being irl bs in it
