Incredibly based of Yoshi P to tie the Hilde questline to the Relic. Takes no time to skip the quest if you dont like it.

If you're going to skip it, it would be easier just not to do it.
If you want to eat an apple, why would you buy an apple packed in 16 layers of gift paper?
same reason people did the ivalice raids for the shb relics, you can argue that you would prefer your apple without the 16 layers of gift wrapper, but that is whats offered and you can take it or leave it. honestly i don't see the need to tie it into the hildibrand quests either but really, just skip through it, its not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, skipping and blizzing through hildibrand probably will take half as long as the easiest actual relic step.

I agree. I ran that content on several of my alts recently. It's not that bad if you're doing it for one character. In addition you get 2 dances/emotes and a glamour outfit. It's worth doing just for the rewards.same reason people did the ivalice raids for the shb relics, you can argue that you would prefer your apple without the 16 layers of gift wrapper, but that is whats offered and you can take it or leave it. honestly i don't see the need to tie it into the hildibrand quests either (or they could have made it so you only need to do say the arr parts or god knows) but really, just skip through it, its not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, skipping and blizzing through hildibrand probably will take half as long as the easiest actual relic step.

We're talking an iconic quest line, that talks about one's parent's legacy, destiny, and war traume along with following healing from it VS Hildy quest.same reason people did the ivalice raids for the shb relics, you can argue that you would prefer your apple without the 16 layers of gift wrapper, but that is whats offered and you can take it or leave it. honestly i don't see the need to tie it into the hildibrand quests either but really, just skip through it, its not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, skipping and blizzing through hildibrand probably will take half as long as the easiest actual relic step.
Pardon me, but StB allies are at least interesting.
we are talking about one of the funniest questlines i've seen in any game the last few years vs a generic... you know what ? i can't even diss it because it bored me to death so i started skipping stuff halfway through the introduction to the second ivalice raid.
it's great you enjoyed the ivalice questline, i'm sure many did, its sad you dislike hildibrand as obviously you will have to force yourself through a bunch of quests with no value to yourself aside from opening up the content that actually interests you, but "StB allies are at least interesting" is absolutely subjective. you liked them, you dislike hildibrand, both are fine, doesn't mean the same goes for everyone. at the end of the day the requirement is easy enough to meet if you put aside a few hours, people do it literally all the time to get something they want, my point wasn't that you should like hildibrand but that it's easy enough to do and people do stuff that doesn't interest them all the time to get a reward, with an mmo it's just part of the package, not everyone can like every content.
