and here I was wanting the male version to be without the sportsbra xD
Just a nice open casual jacket - there aren't a lot of simplistic styles in this game sadly...

Is it me or are we getting a lot of cash shop cosmetics of late with less in-game cosmetics?

It's just you
with 6.1 we got access to wayfarer's, varsity, and archfiend
with 6.15 we got access to the appointed set after finishing ameliance
and in the near future we'll be getting glamour cosmetics for moonfire faire this year

not to mention the 2 unique expansion dungeon models, the brand new hairstyles, new pvp themed sets and trophy rewards, brand new crafted gearsets...
the amount of new unique stuff dropped considerably and I'm not sure how blinded one can be to ignore that fact. Heck the 89 dungeon cheaped out entirely and used the AF as rewards in it as well instead of an unique set as it usually is...
I had hoped to get at least 1 new hairstyle every expansion but alas, the only one was released for the item shop (and female only to boot)
I have very mixed feelings. I think it looks pretty good but I also don't think it really fits the setting. I probably would not have bothered investing in the game if, back in the days of ARR and HW, everyone was running around in modern day style streetwear. We've long since passed the point of no return, though.
It's also just one of many reasons as to why the game world does not feel very immersive to me. Though I was pleased to see that some of the upcoming MMO's are implementing season cycles to influence the world itself. I'll happily take that sort of thing over modern day clothing and burger joints.
It's Final Fantasy. Pretty much anything goes. From VII, it became more than just the traditional fantasy adventure.I have very mixed feelings. This. I can't say I would use it or consider it a good fit but unfortunately that ship sailed a while ago.I have very mixed feelings.
