i dunno, i thought i read that they manually review each situation, and make their decisions out of context. i feel like if they were stricked on it i would have been suspended several times bc i like to have fun and am a lil trolly in games. But not in a way of malice. Like if you die to a newbie mechanic ill stop and do squats on you, or make a joke like SPROUT DOWN, ect.

i think you have to do something with clear malice for them to do anything. But, FF players are soft, early and mid game, hardly see any toxic stuff. But late game, this games more toxic than wow who knows anymore maybe he got baited into something gata watch them baits late game brah.

People get punished for things with even less proof, if they wanted to they could easily just determine a report was malicious, and nobody could do anything
Just like how OP cannot do anything when they determined he was harrassing
uhm imo yes? The fact not a single braincell in the brain of whoever banned the streamer was like 'hmmm, kind of odd to have this many reports for 1 person.' And then, in a stroke of genious, ban the streamer for doing the very thing literally every other pc streamer does on stream. Absolute bravo. The fact so little backlash has happened concerning this, is disturbing.

GMs don't tell you the exact incident because it could involve a witch hunt. Even though most situations it'll likely be apparent where the report occurred. Just that some people play the game almost too much that their untamed sarcasm or toxicity happens too regularly they won't even realize they are a problem until they are reported. So it's probably a mixture of both.

Basically if you are making people uncomfortable in the game, you should stop, like yesterday. The last ToS revision gives GMs more leeway for just being an overall unpleasant person in a party.

At the end of the day, doesnt change the fact that they were publicly streaming plugins. Even if mass reported, it's still a violation of the ToS and whoever banned said streamer probably had their hands tied in the matter. It wasn't just something quietly occurring in the background, it became a much larger & talked about issue. The same would happen if any other streamer got reported in the same way and had it blow up to public scales. The rule has always been to keep plugin & mod use to yourself or at least as quiet as possible. It's a risk you're taking by streaming it to others on a public platform with your character name & server visible.

They actually blew it up by not banning literally every other streamer if they were really so intent about enforcing the rules they set. This was 1 single ban that was not even used to set an example with. Factor in that it was the result of a literal brigade, then SE did a very bad thing that could have been handled better in so many ways and reduced the ToS dangerously close to a paper tiger because of hypocrisy.

Kupo, they should have time limits or at least post what was said because I have seen folks log in and get the jailtime for something they did months ago (that nobody can remember lol)

I would say it does need some work but also just be cool and try not to toss around bad words without a great deal of readable inflection (loool)

    Two things to consider.

The date mentioned is the one associated with the player who complains. Actual time stamps may be based on either server time (North America is PDT currently) or Japanese time. If the latter, it may have been the 27th rather than the 28th, since Japan is 12-15 hours ahead, depending on where you live in North America.

"Bad word" may be as simple as a religious or political term. And sarcasm is extremely hard to ascertain when written in chat. And, of course, there are some terms NPCs use that might sound bad in a chat window coming from another player. At least one interjection comes to mind which, when said by a Lalafellin NPC is humorous, but from a player might be misinterpreted.

What's funny to you may not be to someone else. That's the risk you take by saying/doing things that can come off as negative (like squatting on people after they died). Just be respectful/show good sportsmanship with people that you don't know and keep the rest to people that you know are fine with it (like those in your friend group). Otherwise, it's your own fault if you get reported cause we both know the behavior you're describing isn't friendly.
