It's not "knowing the whole system", it's acting upon what is essentially common sense. If the lottery says outright that it ends at 10:59 AM EST (time will differ depending on time zone), and there are zero bids, does it not make sense to wait til the last minute to see if anyone's going to bid on the plot you want?

Also Ishgardian housing is STILL plentiful and hasn't filled up FC-wise.

I preferred the clicker competition. I required effort and reduced competition - if the competition would have been a bit more accessible that would have been better....
I would have required a FC be 6 months old to get a FC house.

You mean it became a real life variable ratio experiment linked to gambling addiction behaviors. Unless, of course, you were using a bot program to do the clicking for you.

On july 10th they are changing the ward from 1-9 FC, and the rest personal.

Personally this is frustrating as we have lost every fc house lottery so far, maybe tommorow, and next lottery no FC housing will be available.

Why not make it avail to both.

I bid on a small first... and won it well at least after the player 0 won issue... then I tried to bid on a medium house and won it.

If you don't bid on something you got a chance for, you may end standing empty handed, drop the greed and for the need first... then work on something bigger if you deem it a need, one thing to point out... with houses... the only advantage you get with a large is being able to place 3 garden patches outside... 2 with medium... any other feature such as ships and submercibles and more... it is the same no matter size of house.

Do what is important for your FC first.... work on your vanity after is my suggestion.

If someone is bidding on top of you, have someone in the FC bid on a different house and just accept the 1.5m loss if you win both. It sucks but it will more or less guarantee you a house (unless it keeps happening which seems odd on small FC houses).

Depending on the number of bids, it sometimes makes more sense to spread your bids out across multiple plots. I still see FC plots going to 1 bidder on Primal. In cases like that, depending on how many FC members you have, put down a few bids on one plot and then spread it around to a few others.
