The easiest solution is for the game to stop taking away a LB bar on a disconnect.I just failed The Final Day fight TWICE because two different people disconnected midfight. Meaning we didn't have an LB3, meaning we died. Mandatory LB3 doesn't actually add anything to gameplay. It's a glorified Press X To Win Game quicktime event. All such a mechanic brings to the table is the ability to have the fight ruined by garbage netcode.
LB3 was always one final burst of damage to finish off a fight, or a healer's saving throw after everything went pear-shaped. And tank LB was always totally irrelevant. And that WORKED. Then they came along and fixed what wasn't broken by forcing Tank LB3, and now it's actually broken. Good job.
I don't see the reason that should exist. If you're in 8 man content you should get 3 potential LB bars.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
