I don't want instance housing.

I still feel sad when I am thinking of WoW Cataclysm and it "super" feature, Garrison.
I always felt lonely when being there.

I do not own a house in FFXIV but while being in a ward and seeing the other people's housing, you feel like you are in a neighborhood, even though most people are not really there and only visit their plot a single time in a month.
I feel instanced stuff will not give the desired satisfaction people think it will bring but that could just be me having bad experience from Garrison in WoW.

I know house wards lacks a lot of space. And in my opinion, instead of having 2 new servers added to Light and Chaos. I got the feeling those servers could be used to upgrade and have more wards being added too the current servers.
But that would mean that with every new major patch and expansion, the same issues might occur like it did with Endwalker launch. I dunno, I ain't an IT guy, I do not have insight in that data and even if I did, I would most likely not understand the numbers I'll be seeing.

Yeah its abit hard to believe unless you are actually there when it happens but imagine walking into lower deck of limsa and its completely deserted, walk into new Gridania.. nothing. Everyone will be isolated in their own instance.

Its a fine line.

On one hand we could have a Wildstar-esque Instance Housing where its super customizable and everyone gets one at a certain point. You and whoever you do whatever with will have privacy to do whatever. Have true contest with full housing design contest and not just the people who owns a house.

But on the other hand, with this game what would people do when you don't have to rely on another person house to do "Venues". Or rely on FC or Apartments just to get that one room.

There's pros and cons to this. Yeah it would be cool if everyone could get some kind of house but what would we lose in the long run.

Exactly, as humans but i guess i'll talk for myself, there are many times where i feel or think something would pan out or would be really great, but ive had to take a step back and realize actually it may not work the way i wanted it. Instance Housing was one of them. And that's why I removed my suggestions.

We need to learn from the mistakes of others such as wow and swtor. I think the real issue that SE is starting to rectify is the sheer population numbers in NA and EU region, they are adding more Data Centers and worlds, with that many more wards. Maybe that's the solution to open up many more Data Centers to regions that have almost a billion people each in the periphery.

What makes you think that the people who love to sit in limsa will abandon showing off their toons for sitting by themselves?

There would probably be LESS people because then people wouldn't HAVE to hit hubs like that.. but people will still gather I'd believe.

Its not that i think, ive seen it happen. Do you have a swtor character by any chance? i'd love to invite you to my rather empty instanced Alderaan Castle I have fully done up and my 100% Coruscant apartment (that i love) so many hours decorating, very fun but that just meant I missed the fashion show and so did everyone else, and its also where we afk.

I don't remember anyone caring about "social hubs" in that game though, but it could have been a thing after I left. I remember my wildstar house though, and how people still hung out in the main cities. I also play GW2 where everyone has an instance with stuff to do in it as well.. and people still fill the main cities.

I just don't think absolutely everyone will desert the hubs if they still offer that social experience, those dudes with their glowy "legend" weapons aren't going to afk in their house.. no point if nobody is going to see their shiny weapons. The line of naked dancing people on the benches in limsa last night? Could have done it in someone's house.. did NOT.

I think that a very small percentage of players will isolate themselves. One of the main reasons people in Limsa play the game is the social aspect, which why they sit there in the first place. Besides, apartments already exist for those who want to self-isolate anyway. No one is going to do it more than now just because they get an "isolated" (instanced) house instead of an isolated apartment. If people want to meet others, talk, RP, show off glams and flex ultimate weapons they're still gonna do it in the main cities, regardless of housing. There are no downsides to instanced housing.

Edit: And don't forget that this would be welcome with the course the devs are taking with the game. They talk about making the entire MSQ solo-friendly and there was a thread on here asking for a "hide all players" function. If people want to stay away, they will do it anyway.

Some people are asking for instance housing to remove the limit on housing once its removed by instanced housing, then yes it will be more than now. But anyways i did get to say my piece so I'll leave it to others to comment on OP post lol.

They did perform outside because that's where most people currently are right now.. not when there is instant housing.. geeze its not rocket science.
