If someone is bidding on top of you, have someone in the FC bid on a different house and just accept the 1.5m loss if you win both. It sucks but it will more or less guarantee you a house (unless it keeps happening which seems odd on small FC houses).

Depending on the number of bids, it sometimes makes more sense to spread your bids out across multiple plots. I still see FC plots going to 1 bidder on Primal. In cases like that, depending on how many FC members you have, put down a few bids on one plot and then spread it around to a few others.

I understand. I know that happens a lot when players place their entries early in the entry period.

It's always better to wait until the last minute to enter if possible. That way you have more control over possible competition.
