Can the devs please give Ala Mhigo some love?

Though the Mad King is dead, I wouldn't mind exploring more secret ruins surrounding this guy. It'd be pretty funny if it turned out he was still alive and he trued taking back Ala Mhigo with a horde of undead and voidsent minions.Though, I'd also like to get his hairstyle for male characters as well.

I don't have a citation but I'm pretty sure that it was stated that Mad King Thedouric is definetly long dead (and, as I understand it, he was very messily and painfully disposed of too)...

Having said that, as we've seen all too often death is Eorzean for manflu when it comes to villians, so I guess there is nothing stopping him coming back as a voidsent or something if SE really wanted to (after all, we had to deal with a voidsent resurrection of a former Gelmorran king early in the game - King Galvanth the Dominator, the final boss of Tam-Tara Deepcroft)... crazy anime hair and all. :P

They are hostiles towards 5 city state and invaded Gridania but got beaten left and right by Twin Adders alone.
Lost all their force and elites then got taken over by the Empire.

Political point of view, it is best interest for remaining city states to keep Ala Mhigo with military occupation rather than help them to rebuild, just like what US did to Afghanistan and Iraq

Ala Mhigo held a pretty good monopoly on trade given they were a major port city with their sister nations. They brought in silk from Thavnair - hence their own silk trade, they brought in goods from the Far East - hence why their dishes have appeared in Far Eastern cuisine, and they've offered immense mercenary services to the other city-states especially Ul'dah, with who used Ala Mhigans very liberally to defeat Sil'dih (can't remember how to spell it). Secondly, it took -every- city-state to push them back, not just Gridania. In fact, were it not for Ishgard, Limsa, and Ul'dah, they would've been beaten. It was a war to kickstart Ala Mhigo's economy because the other sister nations just didn't want to help them out for some reason.

I don't think it's fair to say they're losers, unless you're just doing a bit but I'll take the bait anyway.

But, that has nothing to do with wanting a city-state to actually look good. Garlemald is infinitely more heinous, yet people still want a restoration of that place. Ala Mhigo deserves one first.

They love Japan so much they gave it to us ingame not once but twice! China who? Why would the land called Yanxia with a great wall and forests of Chinese pines ever have a Chinese analogue as a country inhabiting it? Japan 2 for you!

The Peaks is my favorite place on Ala Mhigo area and the only map I've cleaned all of the side quest. The vistas also pretty with the Ark that looks like an alien ship lol (I know it's the Ark for Calamity of water ). But it's pretty sad that they prefer Othard area more... Wish there's more content of Ala Mhigo...

Not even a single furnishing item! Honestly I know for a FACT the community would eat up Ala Mhigan silk curtains or cushions or what have you. Given their so intertwined with Ananta and they make really pretty silks that's on par with Thavnair (cultural exchange and all that) it's so crazy they haven't bothered doing something with that. And now that Thavnair is getting back up, I can totally see them making a restoration based around Thavnair renewing trade relations with Eorzea through Ala Mhigo (since in canon that was the closest port city and SUPER important for trade!)

I absolutely want all of this. if we can't have an Ala Mhigan Restoration that leads to a: housing there and b: an actual city state to teleport into (as opposed to being on the overworld like the Quarter we have), then I at least want decos or something.
