Any noteworthy “generic side quests” in Endwalker?

Hello FFXIV completionists and fellow story lovers, I have some questions for you all!

Well before Endwalker came out, I set myself on my main to clearing all the generic side quests off all the maps in the game. I still have some gold exclamation points here and there, and that’s because as I went through this “map cleaning campaign” I started to realize that there was a clear delineation of quests worth actually paying attention to, and quests that were “Kitty out of the tree” fetch quests with an almost completely irrelevant reason for existing. Generally speaking, unless there was a notable reward or an image in the quest acceptance pane, it could be done while watching a movie, and generally wasn’t even worth the XP for even that distracted time allotment. Now, I know that some people will find heresy in that assessment, but I don’t believe I saw/skipped a single cutscene as I generally stuck to these guidelines, and I now have clean maps and a smattering of “vignette quests” that I can go back to when I want to pay attention to them.

This brings me to Endwalker, where my maps are a mess. It’s also a singular expansion’s allotment of maps, so I’m willing to pay it a little more attention, but juuuuust in case I get bored and feel like glazing over things on autopilot, I thought I’d ask the question that prompted the creation of this thread:

Are there any “must see” generic side quests (and I know this is highly subjective and I welcome your opinions) in Endwalker areas that aren’t marked by an image in the quest acceptance pane or a notable reward? I’d like to clean my maps, and the existence of Hippo Rider dailies and trust dungeons means I don’t need to hold on to these side quests for their piddly Xp values, so where should I pay attention as I clean gold exclamation marks off the map? I’m not talking about blue side quests that unlock things, I’m talking abut standard side quests that won’t stand out as I mow them down, that I should potentially pay attention to for whatever reason!

I don't know that they quite count as "generic" sidequests, but the role quests in EW have extremely relevant lore-going-forward locked behind them.

The only vaguely memorable sidequests in Endwalker were the ones in Elpis but even then you're not missing anything important.

The rolequests were pretty forgettable, except the melee DPS one in Limsa. That one was fun.

After "act 3", go back to the bridge and find the squad of npcs that helped ya!

I think people liked the ones with Shaggles? Or maybe they just liked Shaggles.

I can only speak for Garlemald map, since it's the only place that I 100% clear. They don't really have anything "noteworthy" (if I understand what you meant), only give more garlean lore a bit.

If you want to check sidequests, I think Garland Tools website has all of them listed?

If that's how you feel about them, there's no real point in asking us. Why bother putting in the thought with no reward for doing so? (to follow that logic)

If you like the Scions at all, there are three in Sharlayan you shouldn't miss.

Oh I definitely don’t count them as generic, but I did really enjoy all the role quests and the bonus quest once those are all done!
