New Missaphenchair video makes great point about the direction of job design

you want your voices heard? start a racket a loud coordinated racket it's what healers did and they at least finally got a response (not the one they wanted but the point still stands). get everyone you can on board (that includes going worldwide if possible) get a # going or something get content creators in on it. show the devs (and SE primarily SE) that we won't just let this blow over. it's about time the devs listened to the whole community not just SE and the investors who will just say do whatever as long as you make us more money aka less effort for more profits. if unsubbing won't send a message maybe this will it's worked before and it'll work again. if they keep ignoring us we keep going bigger the more people we can get the better. just make sure we don't go with being hateful and do it in a nice? way, like what they did with #saveTF2. you want the game to get better or the community to be heard you gotta be willing to do what needs to be done.

That's a nice thought and all, but I can already see Yoshi-P brushing us off the same way he did with healers. Providing some vague hogwash about future plans and the direction they're taking jobs, and that we should just do harder content if we want satisfaction. But I'm all for giving it a shot if enough people hop on the train and speak up. I'll remain skeptical, however.

it's been proven to work before if we get big enough, and this isn't jsut about SAM this is about the state of the game in general hrothgar and viera issues, housing issues, combat, glams, etc... thats how we get it big enough it's not just for one thing it's for the game as a whole.

and if you want proof of players actually forcing DEVs hands look up the for honor blackout. it got so popular in the games communities that ubisoft and the for honor devs had no choice but to change the unlockable item system and make it easier to obtain the currency to unlock them (sure it wasn't alot but thats not the point here), and in response the players called off the blackout cause they were finally being heard. even just players all collectively coming together to not play a single day (and potentially drop the game altogether if nothing was done/said) was enough to send a message.

Both Miztek and Mr Happy asked Yoshida about the state of healer DPS and how unfun they were during their interviews before EW, and he did brush them off, but both Zepla and Mr. Happy remarked that they weren't happy with his answers and would like to ask the question again in the future. Imagine if everywhere online had people bemoaning the state of healers or job changes etc with things like "Yeah, XIV is a good game but god the healers are the worst I've played in any game"; they wouldn't be able to ignore it forever. Memes about blatant Black Mage favoritism in PvP forced Yoshida to very quickly make a lodestone post saying he totally doesn't have favoritism towards BLM, and while that's definitely a lie, it should show that they DO have a very hawkish eye on peoples perceptions of the game.

Every avenue should be explored due to the fact that they are radio silent and happy to ignore us on the place they told us to come for feedback.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sold on the idea, but I'm just worried about the execution and potential result. I'd love to see players come together in a way that tells SE "HEY! WE AIN'T HAVIN DIS!", but part of me feels like overall community dissatisfaction isn't quite high enough yet to get a movement like that started. I'd love to be proven wrong though, 'cause I ain't too keen on waiting until the game is in a much worse state before people start making waves.

The number of vocal people on all forums, including YouTube contributors, is less than 1/2 of 1% of the active player base.

You'll have to generate quite a buzz with all 28,000 of those people, and definitely not be insulting in any way, shape or form, for a proposed mass revolt to have any effect.

The second you start with insults SE will disregard any and all suggestions and requests no matter how nicely the other 27,999 people ask.

Putting aside the fact that my grandma could already play this game and beat MSQ using only 2 buttons on any job... It's not very comforting to see this game heading down the same path WoW went.

Yeah. The MMORPG market is quite different from the MOBA and single-player game market, which is Riot Games cup-of-tea. Greg Street was correct, but never dismissive of what WoW was doing in order to appeal to the maximum number of customers. Eight years ago.
