They need to rethink how they do story in 7.0 +

I pretty much lost it at this expansion when they made us track down like 10+ NPCs scattered around that town in Labyrinthos. But other than that, I don't think the rest of the filler content was that bad.

Looking forward to the next escort mission where we can't get too close to the NPC.

I still remember that incredibly out of place song that played during that segment. It really didn't help that it was like a 20 seconds loop. Over, and over, and over again, all while searching for those NPCs.

I think that the game will need more open world content and, well, gameplay. One of the reasons I make a lot of alts is ARR is one of the most fun expansions to actually play.

Endwalker especially felt like lots of walking from one cutscene to the next. I think I only ever went off the main paths to grab aether currents.
