This is so wrong it's not even funny. If you want a private fc, go make one. You'll probably get a house easier that way.

I'm not going to be part of the problem, house be damned. Change the ToS to clean out the landlords and shells, really not that hard. The RMT'ers are (mostly) gone, now it's time the shells get cleared out too.

It wont change any of the problems. Even if your wishfull thinking would be come true some day it wont do anything to cover the demand.

Does it really matter whether the player is getting their house as a personal plot or as a FC plot via shell FC? It's still a single plot taken by a single player as long as they buy no others.

Also in a strange way, players turning to shell FCs may help lead to a solution. If SE sees a significant number of players using them to get access to houses for personal use (diverting the intended purpose of FCs), it may encourage them to address the supply problem. Otherwise trying to reserve houses for FC use will become pointless as players use shell FCs to get houses for personal use regardless.

Again, we need to stop blaming and trying to punish other players for trying to engage with the content. This is on SE for for creating an inadequate system when they could have learned from other MMOs that already had player housing at the time ARR was being developed.

I cannot state enough how this is the mentality we need to have towards housing. All the fault for everything going wrong with housing is on SE and we need to stop coming up with ways to punish players for doing things within the rules SE put in place. Focus all the ire on those responsible for the current decisions towards housing and their refusal to innovate and stubbornly continue on a path that has been failing for years.

Yeah, I'd definitely say these shell fcs fall under the first point you mention.

Where in the ToS does it even say something like that, though? I see nothing regarding shell FCs, so I'm curious why the other person would spread misinformation like that.
