There's nothing Yoshi-P can say that would make you or other people going on about this happy, so keep asking for the changes you want but do it in the proper threads and demanding apologies constantly is just ridiculous and weird.

Well let's see. It's been 3 years and hrothgar still cannot use all their racial hairs. The devs felt it was acceptable to rip off their ears for assugly hair styles meanwhile they can gogo gadget extend miqote ears for the afro. Female hrothgar were announced the same time as mviera and we haven't heard about them since. Hrothgar is not a race you can play on the free trial so to play as one you have to fork out the cash and despite being made for the most anticipated expansion prior to ew they have nothing to show for it.

So nah every single thread until the devs finally acknowledge how badly they've left hrothgar abandoned has to be this way. People would not shut up about a sex that doesnt even exist in IVALICE and they got that crap so I really wish people besides hrothgar players would give as much a crap as they did over middy hyurs with ears stappled to their scalp race no.67.

They need to apologize to hrothgar players and actually do their job like they do for every other race. Fviera just got another new hair option so you can assume mviera will get whatever drops in 6.2. What about hrothgar? It sure is convenient Lyse's new set dropped eons before they made fhrothgar because god forfend the devs make new content work for hrothgar whatsoever.

I want ears back in 6.2. I want every racial hair native to hrothgar to be unlocked for us. I want Windcaller, Rainmaker, Artoriels hair, the pvp hair everyone likes, and I will not be happy til that happens. I am really not asking for much. I just wish the devs would remember they made TWO races in shb, not just one. I want acknowledgment, and for real options to exist. It'll be long past the 3rd anniversary of shadowbringers launch, I want my player race that debuted in shb to be treated like they care for ONCE.

This just isn't a serious way of approaching it and criticizing how Hrothgar have been handled it's just reaching at straws.

Darn, they'd been a bit better about having translators present at these things. I guess they thought it made the event take too long, having to say everything twice. Meanwhile, volunteer translators on discord will provide translations live. Too difficult for the multi billion dollar company with an international audience to handle, I suppose.

Dont take Kolsy too seriously. Theyre just grumpy their toys havent been delivered in the mail yet.

People arent going to stop talking about it and they shouldnt. Blame the lazy devs not the players. They had three years to spend on these hairstyles. Considering they said they spent an entire month just working on Hydaelyn's face, and that the most expensive thing this expansion was animating Estinien's foot on a balcony....We should be calling out this clear bad management of resources and time

All those "new" Hrothgar hairstyles were actually existing in-game rewards. I guess now they understand why SE hadn't bothered to make them accessible to Hrothgar before.

But at least now the Hrothgar players can't complain that SE isn't listening and haven't given them at least part of what they've been asking for.

But the people who wanted new hairs would get shot down by everyone saying "but SE will cut content for new hairs!"

I want entirely new hairstyles as well as the remainder of the aesthetician hairs/ mog hairs - I do not want the regular, vanilla CC hairs continued to be added to Viera bc they look like utter trash.
There is loads of Tactics art of Viera with different hairs & they have FFXII to go off of as well- not to mention, Viera with hats

The state of hairstyles for all races in FFXIV is abysmal but I think huge swathes of people agree that Hrothgar have the shortest end of the stick. Though I do not play the male variant of the race, I don't particularly like it when each one of them I see in game looks like a clone of each other because each face only has 2 hairstyles and the QA somehow decided that the best course of action would be to chop off their ears so they could fit in other vanilla haircuts. It's simply unacceptable.

Future added hairstyles seem to be up in the air with the graphics update I imagine taking up a huge amount of time and them not wanting to add in lower quality textures only to have to update them again for 7.0, and the only other new (non-mogstation) hairstyle displayed in Gold Saucer being another boring mashup that is too similar to an already existing ponytail. One quick glance at the hairstyles from Lost Ark makes all the ones we have in FFXIV look like a complete joke. These hairstyles that were made in 2010 if not earlier have aged like milk.

A common complaint is that the new hairstyles that we do get are also not feminine enough for female characters and not masculine enough for male characters, though both sides will argue that the other is being favored because these hairstyles are simply in too much of a grey area to appeal to either gender. I will never support the addition of racial exclusive hairs for Viera on top of the ones they already have because unlike Hrothgar their heads are actually human-shaped. There is no point in adding new high quality hairs for them alone especially when so many other races look like they are stuck in the past decade.

Hrothgar on the other hand are a completely different situation - just giving them anything that retains their ears would be an improvement over what they have now. Racial exclusive hairstyles for them with their unique head shapes makes sense though it would have been a lot less hassle if they just added some of the more coveted hairs like the Wind Caller hairstyle while still retaining their ears. The situation those players are finding themselves in could have easily been avoided if this strange decision was not made, and since it bears repeating: Just let things clip. I can say this for any number of other situations where the factor of clipping is used to gatekeep why we can't have cool things but in this case, their extreme aversion to letting things clip resulted in this:



What was obvious to us was seemingly not obvious to them, that people would not give a positive reception to receiving this after 3 years of nothing. It was an utterly shameful moment for a game that is already criticized for its lackluster hair options and somehow managed to give itself even more bad press regarding the situation.

The year is 2022. I see no reason other than this apparent fear of clipping that they need to get over already as to why we cannot have high quality hairstyles like the following:
