Yeah, and have you noticed it didn't get any further lift? xD It's still a PS3 quality game. It just don't run on the PS3 anymore. That's all. It's still a PS3 game.

That's like saying "omg I can finally see the lines in SMT Nocturne on my emulator, but why does it still look low res and low poly like a PS2 game?". Because it's a PS2 game.

I only think a couple things got updated to work for the PS4 that wouldn't work for the PS3 due to its limitations. After that, it literally is the same. No graphical polishing, code was just un-spaghettified (but it still clearly has issues). It's still a PS3 game, just unsupported by the console and doing one or two non-PS3 level things. That's it, that's all.

And it most certainly doesn't stop the game from having all I've mentioned. Nor should it stop the game from having an adequate Glam Dresser system.

    how dare you!?
Didn't you see the number of NPCs during the ala mhigo dungeon!? xD
on a serious note, the areas really got improved.
The reason why there isn't really any more worthwhile improvement is because the probably improved it to PS4 max at the start already.
The PS4 will die soon once PS5 is more common I'm guessing.
And let's not forget the visual improvement coming.

as for the glam dresser, I think it's a mess because they insist on having it also be a storage.
So you can take out what you put in. Instead of just putting in the appearance data and keeping the item separate.

Originally you couldn't take things out, it was just a permanent "insert to add to collection; delete item to remove it" and then there was an outcry about it boiling down to "destroy items to insert them" so the devs altered it so you can take things out.

The thing is, even in that earlier iteration where adding things was permanent, it still had the same cap to how much it could store – indicating that it may not be possible to store the things in a way that takes up "no space". They're stripped down and need less data stored than when they're in your inventory and tracking spiritbond, materia and original crafter, but it seems like it's still structured on the same 1 item = 1 inventory block system, so perhaps that's a limitation that can't be overcome without rebuilding the entire inventory system.

I think that's because they still treat it as storage you can't take out of anymore.
To use less space, they're probably gonna have to destroy the gear to use the appearance.
So there is only a model and no other data included.
That should probably lessen the space needed.

That is exactly what the dresser is doing. Model and dye only; drop all the other information. Being able to remove it is irrelevant to the issue, because other values just get reset to zero.

And yet for whatever reason, they still structured it like an inventory and can't collapse it down to a list.

You have to start seeing the lines between "greed" and asking for something that should've been there in the first place. You're also against glamour without restrictions in the thread about it which is obviously a huge improvement over the current system and you had no good arguments against it, you just argued against it for the sake of it and left when you got called out. Just stop. Maybe you're okay with old, outdated systems that are terrible by today's standards but most of us here aren't and we want more for our money. If you don't want improvements to the game then just don't bother with the forums.

Either make an item unlock in the dresser once you have obtained it, or stop making content and focus on rewriting the spaghetti code this game is built on and FIX the problems.

Years of excuses, just dedicate a team to rebuilding the glam system from scratch. World of Warcrafts 'Transmog' System is a million times more user friendly than this.
Agree on this one even though wow transmog system is far from being perfect (cost you gold each time you change and can't change without interacting with a specific npc) FF14 glamour could take a few idea from it.

Idk, going by what I see often folks generally don't even wear 400 different pieces of gear. Most folks (again from what I see) wear the same 5 outfits.
