People get exactly what they ask for, and they are still mad, and will still sit there and say nonsense and BS like "SE isn't listening"People are like...
"I'm bored of farming old content and reusing old content"
"make the endgame have a massive grind like WoW"
ok adding eureka
"no I don't want a massive grind, make me farm old content like labyrinth"
ok adding bozja with old content like labyrinth to farm
"I don't want want to farm labyrinth, I'm sick of getting labyrinth"
It's hopeless. They should just ignore it and keep giving us content like Eureka and Bozja. It's some of the most fun content in the game.
Id rather just run Labyrinth. Easy Tomes, Easy Roulette EXP
But sure, if Im required to run it 15 times for 15 Timeworns for my relic, I might go insane. Kinda did with Syrcus Tower...and I like Syrcus Tower...but running it 60 times for my 4 Resistance Relics...was pretty rough @_@
For your experience. I personally hate DR, didn't enjoy running it for the quest, and would take the original Atma grind over stepping a foot in there ever again. I'm happy to leave it to those who enjoy that content and glad SE makes that content for those who enjoy it. I just want them to stop tying the casual endgame weapon to these instances to artificially prop them up. They should be zones that can stand on their own feet and have their own rewards worth engaging with the content to gain.
See now, that'd open up some novel ways of handling the grind. Like for example, just imagine if there's something equivalent to the lights phase, except it's derived from what you're doing on your island. Take that and the whole thing where we're apparently having our minions tend the gardens. Basically, the more minions you've unlocked, the faster you complete that part of the weapon.
I do remember quite a bit of complaining about Bozja, but yeah I don't think people complained quite as much as with Eureka.Keep in mind that most of the complaints were about Eureka specifically, not Bozja. The major complaint towards Eureka being that relic progress was entirely tied to Anemos/Pagos/Pyros/Hydatos, without any options to progress outside those zones. They improved upon this with Bozja, with most steps (if not all) having an alternative way of progression outside Bozja. For example, being able to farm the memories from FATEs in HW zones.
They wouldn't have to "put Eureka and Bozja together", because Bozja is already an improvement on Eureka in a bunch of ways.
I think some people are just opposed to the grind entirely.
Imo I just found the Bozja zones to not be nearly as fun and interesting as Eureka.
Eureka had problems with bosses not rly having many mechanics the Bozja bosses were definitely a lot more fun and the enemies in the open world weren't as random, in Eureka you'd turn a corner and get one shot sometimes lol.
But I really wished Bozja had more three dimensionality to it in particular, it felt more like flat planes while Eureka felt like an actual world you were exploring and was very varied.
That's what I mean with combine them, take the more interesting and fun world of Eureka and combine it with the bosses and overall difficulty with Bozja.
I am a bit mixed on stuff like having to summon world bosses at specific hours and all that tho but I still think it's a cool thing and does make people work together.
It kinda organically makes people a bit more organized and makes you feel more like everyone is a part of something.
Edit: The forge in Pagos is another good example of Eureka I'd like to see in the new one if we're getting a new one.
It added a bit more mystery to the world, finding the way there.
Pagos had a fun layout imo overall.
I never really got anything like that out of Bozja, it felt kinda bland and flat compared to Eureka.
In some ways I'd definitely say Bozja was a regression.

In every patch cycle, we wind up with the ability to upgrade the tome weapon prior to the next tier of gear coming out. If it works like every other expansion before, it'll likely require one 24-man weekly token to upgrade a radiant weapon to augmented radiant.
Generally speaking, relics are for glam. Some players enjoy the grind and farming a relic is a joy and they receive a nice shiny weapon at the end of it. For every expansion that I recall, the relic steps do not catch up to the current raid weapon until the very last patch cycle (probably 6.5X in this expansion). If your goal is iLvl, don't bother with a relic.
For some reason instead of, y'know, being able to work on them during downtime, the devs LOVE to put them in later in the patch cycle.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Too busy working on fluff content and crapping on Hrothgar. What they don't seem to get is that relics keep players pretty busy, even if the grinds aren't hard, because a lot of them will work on multiple relics.
