I can't speak for others but as for myself, I would decorate the living hell out of my house, were I to get one. It may only be virtual but it would be my home within the game and I would treasure it.

I've been decorating mine but keep changing ideas before finishing one lol. ATM I kind of want the base floor of my medium house to be a display room full of models, trials trophies, and plushies. I just need to get around to acquiring/crafting said items... XD

I would love my goblet mansion to look decorated... sadly it was my first proper attempt at decorating when I got the thing years ago and I hit item limit before I was half done. I will redo it now I have had more practice... just got to decide if I am walling off downstairs or upstairs or both...

My first house had multiple neighbors with sparsely decorated plots, and my current neighbor of about a year now, has a plot that is also largely undecorated (a couple things outside). My own plot is 'decorated' in the sense of me just dumping my entire inventory of seasonal event rewards and whatever else down wherever.

I haven't started decorating my FC house yet, and décor/glamour is my sworn duty in FFXIV.

I purposely held off until after the recent lottery because I didn't want to go HAM on the decorations, and then end up having to relocate to the new plot. I thought about continuing to hold out for a large, or better location for the medium we got, but ultimately decided that my sanity is more important.

The thing about me and decorations is finding the starting point is very difficult. I need a vision or some kind of idea, but once I do you can count me out of just about everything for the next six months. Tearing me away from my furnishing ambitions is akin to peeling a treed cat from the fireman's face.

Airship and submarine construction has deterred me a bit, but fear not, our new home will be amazing when I am done-ish with it.
