    Arguably, you can. But SQEX doesn't want to. Untouched MCH should be enough to understand it's not their will.
    They can do pvp changes whenever they want since there is no real competition beyond climbing the ladder.
    They can't do it in pve because Ultimate prog is ongoing for too many groups.

    On top of that, SAM isn't in a state where it needs critical chance.
    PvP BLM was a bit broken and they made it clear they were still trying to reach a correct balance. Which is understandable, all jobs went under a massive pvp rework.

    So I went from troll to whiteknight, is that a rank up or a demote?
    I don't think you can bring anything more than conjecture and baseless statement to the discussion.

    They easily pump balance patches in pvp revolving around either damage/healing potencies or even removing charge mechanic from spell or add/remove some other stuff like additional effects (blm 6.15 balance change). We literally see how dev team operates: yoshi p gets stomped -> patch rollout in 2-3 weeks without troubles.

    Pretending that pve is any different than pvp and its super hard to do same thing is literally whitewashing devs.

    Ahhh yes, with another patch comes more silence as the SAM players continue to dwindle in numbers and NIN/MNK raise. Reminder that no one asked/wanted these changes and throughout my browsing of this forum I hardly if ever seen anyone complaining about SAM. Sounds to me that the Dev team just doesn't want skilled players actually being skilled at jobs and rather at fights. I guess I will continue doing Ultimate while falling asleep at the wheel because my job is borderline unplayable at this point. But yes, please Yoshi talk to us about housing while the DPS forum in NA and JP burns to the ground. When they said they didn't want to bring back HW I never figured that meant making every class a snoozefest.

    I've added your thread to the " Compiled SAM threads against Kaiten removal ".

    The changes were terrible, and we can only hope that they at the very least address it. And it seems they are dodging that bullet.

    I always joke with my group about trolling them one day by coming in as samurai. Kind of sad that I can make that joke now. But I really try not to play it these days just to avoid adding numbers representation. Silly reason probably, but I don't want the consensus to be "samurais are still doing ultimate, the job is fine!" to be what they say when it's clearly not, at least from a fun perspective.

    I hear a lot of people talking about the amount of skill this removed from the job, but wasn't Kaiten only used at one point in the rotation, without any deviation? I don't play SAM so I can't say anything for certain, but all other jobs have a static rotation that there is no deviation from so all skills have their place and you only use them when the rotation says to. There isn't a lot of decision making when it comes to skills and abilities in XIV as a whole.
