Demand tougher dungeons all you want, forums. Truth of the matter is that the average player will leave those duties and eat a 30m timer anyway, rather than do them. I've gone into more in-progress Vanaspatis on my MCH than any other dungeon (including Roulettes) combined. 2-3 of them were at the last boss.

Lv53 dungeon, tank clearly job skip but before Endwalker since it was using lv70 tome gear + alliance ring. Wow... haven't seen a player hitting every aoe for a long time, normally it gives me an excuse on healing but i was playing a lv54 white mage, it wasn't any fun LOL.

Healer bails without saying anything, which the rest of party soon follow suit.

3rd PF. Okay. Change of plan. I saw that practice to clear party. How about I join that one instead?

One shot cleared it and did 3 more times of smooth farm rounds.

Thats how PF works.


People in "enrage practice to clear" actualy consistently CARE and put effort into it, because, well they havent yet beaten it.


If you set your PF to "has to have killed" then a lot of people who only got lucky or straight up carried join thinking "oh, i beaten it ONCE so i surely am ready for a farm"
Not out of malice most of the time, but out of overconfidence.


I know for a FACT that i, regregably, caused a bunch of people to have a "clear" in some fights they REALLY should not have gotten, and that now may join farm partys because of it. Simply by Helping to adjust and cover for mistakes

I think this is the one downside to shared buttons. It's probably just getting lost in people's rotations. Anyone in range is still getting a regen, so nothing seems off.

It's not nearly as bad as the dancers that pop finish on nothing. Talk about cringe.

We are already seeing the parallels from the bad parts of the WoW community flood XIV for the last 2 years. Are you that shocked that people are leaving duties that isn't a faceroll and the devs catering to said players?

When Alliance Roulette put in me in Orbonne Monastery a few days ago when I used WAR (tank was adventurer in need), I've been blessed with a rather smooth run where most of the players knew what they were doing. Most of the party members and I did not get knocked out at all and I got one player commendation in the end.

Saturday night I got my latest alt up to the end of Shadowbringers, sitting in the Dying Gasp queue as DPS (because story clear needs story outfit and not fancy healer glamour) looking at 2/2 tanks, 4/4 DPS and zero healers, thinking "I really need to queue trial roulette later as healer to make up for this".

Sunday, I queue for trial roulette as healer and get the Dying Gasp. Perfect.

Last night, helping my brother practice his tanking by doing roulettes and having him on VC to give pointers if need be. We queue up into Great Gubal Library (Hard) with him GNB, me DNC, and our party a RDM and SCH. SCH is silent whole time and it struggling to keep up the healing the whole dungeon. We asked with they wanted smaller pulls or if they needed help, but nothing but silence (might be a PS player because I am too and the PS keyboard is an abomination). The RDM kept going AFK and would only show up for boss fights, the explanation being that "someone fell down and got hurt". Brother mused they're probably a parent and I let my irritation fizzle because yes, life happens, I can let stuff like this go on occasion.

I ended up giving dance partner to my brother so I could cure waltz him more directly and it's not like my fellow DPS was using it's benefits anyways. Probably the most irritating run I've had in awhile, but I've also had much worse.

all you have to do to check if they're on a console is examine them while you're playing on the console and it shows the PSN ID in the bottom right corner of their character page thingy...

It shows yours as well Online ID: your psn name

And what Iscah said. I play on the ps5 as well as the 3 and 4 and use a keyboard to type.

Get a USB keyboard for typing. You don't need anything special, just plug it in.
