What's even the point of doing savage?

I personally do it because it's challenging content. At the end of the day, this is a videogame that you play for fun.

If you're only playing because of the items you're going to get, then you might have a different philosophy when it comes to why you play videogames.

Asking what the point of doing Savage and/or Ultimate is almost the same as asking why people bother playing games like Dark Souls, or any other challenging single-player game.

Yep my question is exactly that But in dark souls, hard boss gives you good gear that you can use the rest of the game. Not totally the case here.

Like you said it's a videogame, you play it for fun. And after killing something that took me 2 weeks to learn, i love receiving an item or something useful on it, and not just killing it "for challenging content".

Challenging content should be rewarded. At least it's my point of view.
