SE never refunded my $1 charges

I've paid a total of $3 for pre-authorization charges and they never returned it back. Why do they do me like this? SE please. You have billions.

This is how credit cards authorisations work:

It's just a test the card details are valid, the money isn't taken by SE. The bank holds on to it and returns it automatically after 7 to 21 days (depends on your bank).

How long has it been? It happens to see if you have enough money in the account and is returned right away if you don't have enough. It takes several days to appear in your account again though.

Its been about 2 months now for the $2. I recently had another $1 preauth. I dont think I will ever get those back. Which is okay but I didnt want to pay extra for my sub. At this point GT cards are cheaper for me.

Then you should most certainly talk to your bank.

One thing with expired authorisations though is because they are not real charges, they should drop off your statement once refunded by the bank, so if it's not been refunded it should still be on your latest statement.
