    Nah, the bots have always been there. What's really increased their presence on the marketboard is the changes to the crafting system that removed the barrier to entry into crafting, especially end game crafting. The investment to level a crafter in the past was several times what it is now.

    SE's general lack of response to marketboard bot issues has also made them bolder, and the increasing player population means more bot activity needed to feed increasing demand. That's why I would love SE to start hitting the RMT buyers hard. Demand would start reducing if players were losing their accounts for buying gil.

    yeah, if they gave a vacation to the buyers, the RMT market would get shallow pretty quick. and they should make those vacations public too. "RMT Buyers vacationed: xxxx" kind of thing
