That was retarded, i don't drink IRL, as i stated it was just a bad example and apparently you failed to take the meaning. I have friends and do party content daily, that has nothing to do with my desire for solo content. grow up.^Stupid example indeed.
Just because you're a lonely drunk IRL doesn't mean you deserve solo content. Nor does doing things solo make you a more skilled player than others who prefer to not be a lonely drunk in game. I'm sorry that you feel like solo content is lacking in a world consisting of thousands of people that you could make friends with and go do things with...
Oh wait....you're a lonely drunk who goes to the bar alone. What was I thinking? ~.~
All you have done here is prove a point about solo players: They are horrible at getting along with other players or have some kind of issue with doing things with other players. Kinda like making friends to go to the bar with.
Derp.
Yes yes.
I was retarded for taking your shitty example and going with it.
My bad.
Don't be such a little bitch, ok sweetie? If you're gonna post your opinion be prepared to have people disagree with you.
"Grow up"
Name calling in both your posts lol. And nowhere near on point. fail sir, good night.
Still OOODLES to do solo! Be mindful, levelling your jobs is only you training so you can go out and seek adventure... now that you've levelled... go out and seek adventure!I was all hyped up (and sad) when I heard about Hamlet Defense coming with this patch! But it got delayed u.u
What I would like to know is if they are planning to release more content for solo players.
I got pretty much all classes (but gladiator/paladin) to 50 from a long time ago and I already got all af pieces for all my available jobs (except whm body) and to be honest...besides shouting for parties for the new dungeons...I have NOTHING to do battle wise.
Sure I could go craft to finish leveling my culinarian or gather to finish my FSH...btu I like FIGHTING.
All in all there's no content, right now, (at least IMHO) for max level people and that worries me.
Some sample things that can be done solo:
1) Go get teleport locations (or just explore randomly).
2) Go do coffer hunting (you can get the first/second coffers at most locations by yourself)
3) Go NM hunting (lots of NMs, and a lot drop stuff you can trade in for seals).
4) Do Faction Leves to get some interesting drops (or ready for Rune drops)
5) Optimize your skills/gear -- Find out which strategy and equipment maximizes your DPS or HPS
6) Farm places that no one goes -- see what drops out there and tell your friends about it
7) Help friends -- Someone needs help with a low/mid level mob, go help them.
8) Help strangers -- Riding through the country and you see a little taru running for his life? Stop and heal/protect him!
9) Quests? -- Have you done the main storyline, job (non-AF) quests, and side-story quests?
(If you've done all that, except perhaps #7 and #8, then okey, you have a legitimate stance for a complaint ^.^;; )

It's not fair to flame the OP when it's always been promised that this game would support solo play. Sometimes you feel like partying it up, sometimes you don't feel like dealing with people. Options are good.
This article may be old, but this is one design that I don't think FFXIV has deviated from:
But I will agree with others that I don't see much more in the way of additional solo content until 2.0. Still, no harm in voicing your opinion. I enjoy solo content, myself.Going it Solo: Being able to solo will factor big into the world of Eorzea, and the developers reveal that they are working hard to make a game that does not impede the solo player. Naturally, since enemies can appear in parties, there will be difficult, or even insurmountable challenges out there. However, Iwao in particular finds a certain romantic image in the lone adventurer, and hopes to accomodate that playing style to the fullest.

Holy hell you have an amazing ability of MISSING THE POINT and backing my own at the same time!Yes I do, as I said, how many Final Fantasy had "solo" content? I can't think of any one(besides FFXI). What I mean by solo is one party member, like, only having Cloud in your party. Final Fantasy is ment for comradery.
Also you are playing an mmo, if you don't wanna play with people, go play a single player game.
FFXI is an mmo just like 14, FF7 is NOT an mmo and even then you could challenge the Colosseum with just cloud..so you keep backing me up lol.
Hell! If I remember correctly you had a better chance of killing Ruby Weapon (was htat the one in teh desert?) if you killed 2 of your party member before starting the fight.
Can we all agree on ignoring the troll?

7 and 8 are my everyday routine. I have lost track of how many times I have done the final quests for each job.7) Help friends -- Someone needs help with a low/mid level mob, go help them.

9 my quest tracker says IM missing less than 20% of all the available quests xD
