What is with the constant mistreatment of the Garlean story?(6.1 Patch spoilers)

FF games are japanese games, yet they know when to have funny moments and when not to. 14 does not know how to handle this distinction and thus it just takes away from the story.

You see what you want to see. There have always been ton of these scene in FF games and other flag ship tittles like Tales, Trail, Xeno ...etc... I remember because I'm actually one of those people who find the majority of the them annoying. The difference between you and me is that I made peace with the fact it's part of the medium, rather than single it out. If anything, FF14 is far less offensive in this regard than the average Japanese tittle.

Not to mention other ff games also have consequences for the main cast so the light hearted moments actually feel like more of a relief. Whereas nothing ever happens to the main cast to warrant needing any sort of relief in this game.

And this basically show it's confirmation bias. You already have a beef with the way the story goes in other areas, so you will cite anything that reinforce that idea.

Again, just to be clear, I never said these scene are goods (god know I cringe so hard with the recent Y'shtola scene), if "all" of them are gone, I won't miss them, time and place aside they are just overall silly. I simply point out this is not a FF14 thing, but a Japanese thing. I don't deny water make you wet, I just don't understand the point of complaining water making you wet.
