My reaper ass can't kill a Machinist in a 1V1 after hitting it with everything and not killing it but the dude standing 50 feet away from the action can't make boom boom do enough numbers so it gets ultra buffed.
Hoping this isn't bait. The tears of someone dressed up like a stereotypical black mage complaining that they no longer get to be a walking nuke in PVP capable of wiping entire parties are so deliciously salty.
You are all surprised? I never saw any mmorpg that PVP wasn't a rollercoaster of nerfs and buffs across its lifespan.
Lucky in XIV, PVP is a complete separate structure from PVE, unlike in WoW back in the day, I remember I hated my class becoming trash in pve because of PVP nerfs. (I think it's changed today, but I quit in Legion so I'm not sure).
I always stay away from PvP in other MMO's because of this, especially since I usually didn't play what was op...You are all surprised? I never saw any mmorpg that PVP wasn't a rollercoaster of nerfs and buffs across its lifespan.

I've played a ton of different Jobs in the PvP in FFXIV and I really haven't had problems with any of them, someone mentioned RPR but I did really well with it when I tried it in CC.
I actually felt like it was rly strong and was nuking the enemy team to hell, maybe they just weren't good tho but I really haven't felt like there's any massive glaring imbalance to the point where it'd make me not want to play something.
There's some rly strong LB's but I don't think anything is particularly weak to the point where it's a problem.

If they were OP as you say, why then are BLMs the least played and have the lowest winrate of all Jobs? I feel other Jobs are more OP and have more advantages with their toolkits than BLMs
BLM has long cast times, has to buildup stacks to be decent, has the lowest HP, easily nuked down and easily Spellcast interupted by dipping behind pillars etc
I also feel a BLMs LB is too easily outhealed with the 15000HP heal ability. 16000 Foul vs 15000 Heal. And then you have some Jobs that can take me from max HP to 0 in 1 hit. While I can focus all my effort on 1 player, and with Foul and 6 instaflares etc, never be able to kill them off. Then they get their LB and im dead within 2 secs xD
Your issue is using Flare. There's very little reason to use Fire when Ice completely disables people up to 3 seconds instead of the poor Dot you get from tossing fire.If they were OP as you say, why then are BLMs the least played and have the lowest winrate of all Jobs? Freeze x2 and Sleep are oppressive and on top of the buffed damage they can hit multiple people if they don't stay scattered, even if BLM doesn't get the kills himself he so completely cripples opposing teams currently that not having one on your own team is huge downside.
Even pure Ice mages are topping the DPS charts if they aren't constantly harassed by something like Monk.
They did need some buff, like cast times and maybe utility like instant swiftcast when not targeting anyone with aetherial manipulation. But they really should have buffed the fire damage only and toned down the ice CC some.
