Yeah, some of the dumbest shit decisions is only allowing to be posted on social media.

Contrary to popular belief, we don't all sit on Twitter all day long waiting for something to be posted. I'd like to actually contribute to something like this through the official site, not a third-party hot mess.

I've deleted all of my social media months and years ago. One of the best decisions anyone could make.

Commendable, but I can see why they want to do this on Twitter... Also Your name, I do miss playing games in that Setting, it was my Favorite for European Fantasy. (Spelljammer & Dark Sun being my Favorite over all)

While I agree Social Media is a toxic cesspool, the purpose for them using Twitter seems clear, the Earrings might seem to be a reference to Endwalker, but they can also be a reference to Twitter as well, and if it's not evident, it's a Cross promotion with Twitter, ie Square-Enix must have gotten some money from Twitter. As it is basically a Twitter Advertisement with out being obvious.

It's not "dumb" it's a marketing campaign to get glamour shots of the game onto the timelines of your friends and your friends' friends who don't play the game.
They can't do that on websites that only active players visit.

I envy you. I reluctantly have a facebook for the purpose of starting a local gaming group, and it went over like a led zeppelin.

They did back in the day. You just posted on a thread made by a mod and they select some winners from the thread. It's more than likely what someone said where SE is using it as free/easy advertisement.
