It is getting really annoying seeing everything always working out for BLM and (indirectly when it comes to mounts and equipment) lala's.
The optimist in me hopes it's just his staff prioritizng what they know he'll like so anything they've been slow or struggling to fix is more easily forgiven... like bribing the boss.
The pessimist in me though is worried that he is doing this himself, whether it be an intentional or a subconscious bias.
It's... just even the waifu, the actual mascot of the game and not the placeholder for the WoL is Y'shtola. She's in all the side games, she's the new secret character much like how Cloud used to be (see: KH, tactics) and conveniently she has switched from WHM/CNJ to BLM. They even made the guy who was more or less the Scion's summoner (due to him always being in charge of the primal hard/ex/savage stuff) into an AST just to compensate for the loss of a healer scion.
It sucks. Feels like the game is not trying to appeal to others and is instead now just revolving around Yoshi-P getting to be the main character while we're the trust NPCs.

Y'shtola is popular in the community, other characters have switched Jobs too Y'shtola switching to BLM made a lot of sense imo.It is getting really annoying seeing everything always working out for BLM and (indirectly when it comes to mounts and equipment) lala's.

This is just a whole lot of reading too much into it that ppl are doing here lol.

Isn't Black Mage supposed to be the most punishing and least played casters? If not of all jobs?
I feel like ya'll are on the right path, but looking in the wrong direction.
Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]
Based Yoshi doing whatever he wants and if you don't like it then unsuscribe from his game.

H-H--HOoooww COUllld you!
I can see how you interpreted it the way you did, so that's more on me but my intention of such a statement wasn't like an official title within the halls of Square. I meant it more like the people who work on healer. It's not relevant to me that someone who works on healer plays healer as a main*, which might be a misinterpretation of my usage, but only that "the healer team" is whoever makes up the members that create healer. * An edit, I do think they need to test it and make sure it feels right lol, just don't need 1 person for every job added to the game as a 1:1 requirement.
So if lets say I worked on healers and damager dealers, while you worked on healers and tanks. You and I would be part of, if not the, healer team. Maybe I main Paladin and you main Black Mage. That last bit doesn't change what I was inferring. Personally I think there are a lot of fun things to think about, and the different styles of players and gimmicks that could be represented in a job, even though the healing role itself isn't what I live for. It's possible you have a dev team that hates a content they have to work on, not even speaking FFXIV but just in general we know this has happened in other games, but also wanting to suggest it's possible to have someone who main's BLM to make a killer Paladin. Or the BTN 'main' to make a fantastic WHM.
Taking it back into the structure you'd take it as: "The people who work on the healer have a different vision than a lot of the more aggressive and skilled players (aggressive not being a pejorative, more in the sense of "I can do more, I will do more, I will attack the enemy too!")." Of course reminding that I do think there are some things that might be done, so I'm not suggesting to leave it alone or pack up type situation lol. Just that I imagine it's not simply "bad guys bad".
Like those moments where you're like "If I was president, king, God, -insert power position here-, "I would do x"".. there are things I'd try to help the situation as I think I would see what's going on and understanding some people's desires we might be able to improve the situation, but of course I'm not. And far more importantly often those dreamy thoughts are based on the wonderful position of not having the cons that come along with such positions, like responsibility, limitations of resources, experience needed to execute a pen and paper idea into reality, etc (easier to say you'd make a great movie if you had X money and Y licenses, far harder to actually do it lol).

You don't see me complain much these days because I'm fairly happy with the game as a whole. When Tanks went from Tanks to DPS with mitigation, I complained a bit, provided feedback, and then promptly stopped tanking. I was a PLD main through Heavensward. But we got more DPS abilities than tank abilities so... I just started playing DPS.Yeah well guess what buttercup? These forums are for criticism. That’s specifically what the devs themselves have said. So yes, i’m going to spend the majority of my time here critiquing the game as they want us to do(supposedly). I’ve yet to see you criticize anything outside of the sam changes, but i’ve seen you constantly try to shut down peoples criticisms even when you’re objectively in the wrong which you are here.
I don't comment on caster or healer issues, because I am terrible at playing them and any feedback I provide would be worthless. I only pass on my friends who do heal's points, as they are more informed than I am.
I also don't participate in those threads, you won't find a single post from me in the healers need a rework thread because I have no input to give.
I just want him to play at least a little ninja right before an expac comes out. Two expansions in a row my job launched in a horrible state. Obviously I know NIN is great now, but we shouldn't have to keep getting reworks to get good.
I don't rly think it is now, it has so many instant casts but it used to be.
I think it still carries that stigma tho which scares people away, and quite frankly a lot of people just kinda suck at at using them in an even somewhat competent way it's something I've noted watching people who play BLM stream they barely if ever use their instant casts for mobility and then complain about how it lacks mobility.
BLM was def over buffed this round
It’s going to get nerfed
