My thoughts are leave Reaper as is. The class is more than fine rn. Yall need to chill with the complaints for classes that ain't broke or well have a Sam 2.0 situationNow that the job has been released for awhile, what are our thoughts?
Personally:
The Good
-Minimal positionals
-Flows really well
-Safe
-Slower
-Looks great
-Balanced
-Fun
The Bad
-Bad DPS
-Awkward Buff
-Nothing feels impactful
-Burst phase is too long to utilize most party buffs
-Debuff based damage buff
What I would do differently:
1. Would rather them take damage out of 1-2-3 and put more meat into Enshroud, supposed to be a burst phase but barely scratches other job's in that category. Communio should hit a lot harder too, even if its just a damage adjustment.
2. Revamp Arcane Circle entirely, feels like they ran out of ideas on how to make this buff different than the rest, feels kinda crappy, Plentiful Harvest should share the same button with the buff too.
3. Revamp Soul Reaver, its strange that it is a buff that stacks up to two (only after Gluttony) but you can never stack it. Strangely rigid system in a job that seems to be based on a flexible rotation.
Thoughts?
No one asked for that change to Samurai. That's a situation of developers changing aspects of a job that people didn't want to be changed instead of changes people did, leading to the question do they even play their own game.
No one wants to play a fine class they want to good class or even better an excellent class.
Reaper is my favorite job quite handedly.
None of the changes I listed would alter the job in warping ways, just what I think could be done better.
It is pretty logical that I would want my favorite job to be the best that it can, even if it is viable in all content right now (it is.)
