Honesty Time - How do you feel about FFXIV?

I feel it needs more stuff. And the ability to chat while synthing. This is not a flaw of a bad game, but a bad launch, which is why SE is reserving the date for ps3 release. Folks in NA loved the launch of FFXI, not knowing that the game was already out in Japan for 2 years, this is what a new mmo looks like, and the fact that other MMOs run into the same lack of content at launch is not new.

I know, " but Kallera, they REALLY lack content!"

Well, now they know about it, and are working on the issue, SE's put its money into this, I have faith it won't let it meltdown. If it does, they lose on years, reputation of Final Fantasy, and money.

And hey, I've spent money on worse games (coughvf5cough)

When the servers came back up i just started a new ffxi account. And i've had more fun doing that than anything i've ever done in 14... they failed. So damn hard.

Oh well, i'll just play 11 for a few years until this game either fails or becomes something worth playing.

Wtg se... spend so much time developing a game... then make another and take pretty much nothing you've learned.

I completely agree. People who continue to complain, remember you are not paying anything at the moment. The day they start charging monthly fee and you don't like the game. QUIT. Also, people who are still complaining about the FATIGUE System. Maybe its time you went outside of the house and did some real life stuff. I am completely packed with things to do in the game when I have time. I just can't do things fast enough. >.>

I have loved FF-XIV ever since the CE arrived at my doorstep some time ago. We are pretty casual now, but with some hard work, I am sure someday we will become more than "just friends".

I'm perfectly fine with how the game is progressing, besides the fact that the new team seems to be caving a tad too much to popular pressure from the polls, and might do some overcompensating.
Game development should never be a democratic process.

But in any case the positives overcome the negatives by quite a lot. The game is fun for me, and on top of it I don't pay for it. My girlfriend finally got around getting a decent computer and has just started playing (having fun herself), which in turn increased my own fun.
When I get anywhere bored (something that, mind you, happens with every MMORPG sooner or later), I just leave my account there, since I don't even need to cancel to avoid being charged, and resort to one of the many other games the market offers (my to play pile is quite big anyway), and as soon as I hear the siren's call again, I fire FFXIV up again, and it didn't let me down yet, fun-wise.

Win/Win situation. It's that simple. People simply need to learn to let go for a bit.

Honestly, these forum topics are redundant, depressing, ridiculous and.... (fill in rest with w/e you like)
