Should people have known they didn't have to do anything? Yeah, it was explicitly stated. But to pick your own server, be told it is full while you are still on it, and then be defaulted to a completely different server all together is poor planning on SE's part. They should have anticipated people were going to click on their own server while it was full, even if told they don't have to, and made sure the character stays put if a transfer doesn't go through successfully.

If what happened to the OP is true, this is going to be very bad because I am certain that OP was not the only person who clicked on their own server during the merge period thinking they had to do that to stay on the same server. In about 10 days time, these boards are going to explode. In addition, that kind of negative word of mouth is the last thing this game needs while trying to relaunch.

If OP actually picked Ragnorok, hoping to jump to another server when a spot opened then that's on them and I've no sympathy for their problem. But if what happened is what they said happened then yeah, it should be righted, even if technically OP is at fault for applying for transfer when they really wanted to stay where they were.
If she wanted to stay on his/her server.. you really didn't have to do "anything" and SE "figured" that If they do the application.. is because they want to move.. This is just bad logic on OPs and anyone else that did this.
