Lmao get over yourself and just ignore it
You expect these witch hunters to actually spend effort in something like that? How are they supposed to flaunt their slacktivist principles to us lowly masses if they're too busy doing actual work?100%.
I despise people witch hunting others for innocuous UI add-ons or slidecast indicators.
I despise people witch hunting others for 18+ mods.
Why don't they start witch hunting bots, wintraders, and hackers honestly? Direct your efforts there, because the situation has gotten so bad that people using bots and RMTing now openly joke about there being no repercussions as long as you don't make someone feel upset with a naughty word. Which is such an ass-backwards way to moderate the game and just causes more and more people to do the same because if you can't beat em literally join em.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
I dont see much point in it. If SE is going to pick a direction to do actual enforcement in, the bot/gil buyer direction is going to be healthier for the game long term.
The current enforcement against "18+ mods" is... a bit vague and requires a report, which is then investigated which if against the ToS MAY result in a ban, but I doubt it unless really out there. If you have a problem with some RP event or advertisement, then report it, simple as that. but they cannot enforce a ban on 3rd party mods for RP venues etc without putting something on your computer since the graphical changes are only things the user, and other users see, so no "harm" to you unless you use the same mods.
If you dont like the people that RP, avoid them. because as I said, unless YOU are using the same 18+ mods, whatever they wear, will not be visible to you.
either way, RP'ers are low hanging fruit, it would be nice if SE concentrated resources on actual issues.
Yay another puritan...
/sigh
I was a minor when I first saw the clubs in PF. I didn't know why 18+ was slapped on something in a video game. I went out of curiosity. Nobody asked for my age nor did anyone actually care. It took less than 5mins for someone to hit on me the first time I went. I quickly learned what the hubba was all about. But like, when you have 20+ different ads in PF every single night with "18+ club!" You're going to get nosey and curious after awhile. Especially when your friends are going.
This is internet gold.
Seriously though, what do you care? Are the dirty 18+ clubs hunting you down and whispering you and forcing what they are doing on you? No? Then why are you all but suggesting a witch hunt against them especially when public NSFW stuff is already bannable as is showing the use of mods? The only way to know someone is doing so is if they admit to it or blatantly put it out there attached to their character name, and even then screenshots can only really be used if they have the FF14 stamp on the corner. Without that there is no way to even prove it was an in-game picture. Same goes for the clubs. If these services are happening in private areas there is nothing to be done, and any advertisement in discord (as I see this was brought up too) is not in game and therefor not subject to moderation by SE.
This claim requires context. In my experience, people who advertise such things tend to be a bit more vague or just sell it like a party. Then when you go there, it's just a bunch of Bee's Knees and a streamer playing their iTunes playlist. If you want to actually catch 18+ content you tend to have to ask for it, at which point you'd be reporting yourself alongside them.again that doesn't fix the issues. if it's public then it should be banned. IDC if people keep it private, but when you see one club getting spammed daily on party finder along with their questionable carrd.co or site that advertises 18+ services then IT SHOULD BE A PROPLEM.
stop being high on COPIUM. you know its wrong and that it should be reported
I agree with what others have said. This doesn't effect you unless you want it to. So why do you care? If seeing an advertisement for a house party bothers you, block those people.
While I don't advocate these things, quite frankly - the only people who see the 18+ type mods are the ones who load the mod, not the player base. So, you wouldn't know who is running it unless you yourself has it installed. So, how does this affect you?obligatory sorry for my English because it's not my native language.
since I see a lot of people against 3rd party tools like ACT. I think SE should also start banning people who use 18+ mods on themself and other people. it's creepy honestly. the fact that a lot of people are okay with this but not a simple tool that helps you improve is crazy to me. I'm fine with simple mods that help the player experience but, I don't think 18+ mods help anyone honestly.
I also think that SE should ban any club that is 18+. since this is a 16+ game IIRC. people in these clubs are weird and should be held accountable for the services that they sell. I tried to report the ones where they obviously sell 18+ stuff for gill...but that's every club now. I don't get why gms and SE are okay with this. to me this is much much worse than any other 3rd party tool that helps you with raiding since its morally questionable.
But, SE could take action technically against the screenshots and claim their IP violations. But frankly, I don't see them bothering much with it. They aren't even doing anything to the RMTs and bots, I don't know why someone would expect them to do anything about this.
