Somehow, I'm not even remotely surprised that the people selling clears are likely resorting to straight-up cheating to make the process quick and consistent.
The notion of them actually having eight people constantly on call to carry someone's account through the fights always sounded a bit absurd.
Everyone's line is different. It's honestly whatever to me.
Personally I hated being in a static that had to resort to plugins because they were too impatient to do Perfect Alex for a few more days learning it normally. I don't like Cactbot and most triggers. Are they cheats? Sure, but I also don't care enough about others using it.
But I'm gonna keep my Alex and UI mods thanks. I like the look of my UI showing much bigger, clearer numbers than the vanilla UI. Alex also makes the game feel way smoother and I don't gain any DPS because I still cannot triple-weave. I also can't play without graphical mods. Default Highlander looks ugly AF.
You draw the line where you think it should be and just play by that line. Find a group that all abides by that line (though it's honestly hard and I've been in multiple statics and everyone's opinions are always different). Everything else doesn't matter.
I get that OP is being a troll or what not. But I'm wondering whether people are just reacting negatively because of the obvious bait or because they seriously do believe that nobody in this game ever plays and clears hard content without a single UI add-on.
And no,discord and online guides/videos dont count. Seriously its getting old having this included as a meme argument about 3rd party tools.

I actually found this Bait thread hilarious...but it does also make you wonder....why DID people react the way that they did...when all OP did was give a shoutout to the People who DIDNT use 3rd Party Add-Ons.
Like...its interesting that that would somehow upset people and trigger such reactions.
But hey, its the FFXIV Forums. Things dont make sense here.

Both sides are behaving incredibly toxic. It's a battle of who can out justice and righteous the other.I actually found this Bait thread hilarious...but it does also make you wonder....why DID people react the way that they did...when all OP did was give a shoutout to the People who DIDNT use 3rd Party Add-Ons.

I'm glad there's at least another that doesn't need to use third party programs to complete the game.

Yes! I’m doing a favor abiding the ToS by kicking out bad plebs monkey brained players from my party for difference in playstyle instead of offering them advices!

Honestly have gotten more nasty snarky comments in this game than I ever did in wow, at least regarding DPS and rotation lmaoYou know what, I'd take WoW's straightforward "you suck" any day over sneaky passive-aggressive attacks at players who like addons, badly disguised as positivity threads so they can instantly dismiss you the moment you disagree.
No meters and addons and a stifling ToS has bred a sort of snarky, gloating toxicity that's much worse.
I mean not often. Really only once that's actually stuck with me, when some guy spent an entire dungeon whining that I wasn't using foe req enough (I was mistakenly saving it for boss fights only. I fixed it after the first time he said something. He kept whining.)
At least in wow when some hotshot dbag started complaining about somebody else's damage or performance I could link a meter with them at the bottom and get them to shut up about it
