It didn't get pushed. That's what it has always been. Read the latest follow-up 6 on the Lodestone site.

I assume the OP just checked that housing was on May 17th in-game without checking Lodestone like many other players did.

It's reasonable thing to react like that. Square Enix did another booboo and fixed it.

Likely, it was simply the easiest solution to prevent one lottery cycle, rather than trying to shift the entire cycle a few days and risk breaking something with timers.
