Compensation for whom exactly? The people who won the lottery? Because they get a house for free. I'd say that's compensation.I have read that, but wasnt quite sure if i had understand it right. I somehow doubt that it will be that many people who give their refund back by free will. Why should they, they don't get a penalty or something if they don't do it.
Well its just gil and i dont care about it that much, it just seems a bit unfair to all thouse players who had to pay their plots. Also it shows once more that SE is not able to provide good solutions and gets a away with band aid fixes once more.
Btw. as far i could see there is also no kind of compensation for this long disturbance, other games provide you with gimics, crystals, gold or other stuff if they have a similar issue (even the f2p once) but not here. Its a bit disapointing when you see how well other companys (some of them much smaller) handle this stuff and SE only does the bare minimum.

The majority of players didn't got disturbed in any way, more amused how you can roll a 0. No need to make the small inconvenience for some players bigger than it actually was. Or did someone not getting his plot of land disturbed you that much in playing the rest of the game that you need to be bribed with some goodies to continue playing the game?I have read that, but wasnt quite sure if i had understand it right. And if you REALLY want to see some compensation for the people that had to suffer distress from being robbed of their housing experience, see the free gil they can keep as exactly that. Compensation for those who didn't know if they actually would get something out of this horrible system or if they had to suffer through another hunt. They had to feel bad for being beaten by a 0, not you.

Well we couldnt buy a plot for about a month, something thats part of the usual game service you pay for. True it dosnt affect that much players and the compensation also didnt need to be that big in (in FF14 case it should be something like a glamour, minion or mount) but its the thought that counts. Its more about the gesture than the compensation itself. Its a complet different thing if i just read a "sorry" somewhere (which i also had to search for) or if i recive a ingame letter in my mail with a few nice words and a small present. If some small mobile or f2p developer can do that why cant SE?

Except SE isn't some small mobile company and their players don't have to be bribed for every little inconvenience. Not to mention that mobile games can throw tons of stuff at you, which they always do, just to lure you more in lol. That is not a great example for being a good developer, giving you 500 worthless crystals so you need to buy 1000 more for 12.99 so you can play one round of gacha isn't kindness it's more calculated market tactics.Well we couldnt buy a plot for about a month, something thats part of the usual game service you pay for. And it is not really SE fault that your glasses on your nose there aren't working as intended.

Well i never feelt the need to spend money on a mobile games, also you get usually free crystals regularly an can access everything (except cosmetics and so on) without paying anything, atleast at good mobile games. It depends on how you look at it, what for you seems like a cheap bribe feels for others like a nice gesture. Wouldn't you for example it also appreciate it more if someone apologizes to you in person than just in some paper or a quick messages?Except SE isn't some small mobile company and their players don't have to be bribed for every little inconvenience. You clearly aren't reading any of the SIX notices that Yoshi-P posted. Every one of them starts off with an apology about what happened. Even a couple of them both start and end with an apology.Well we couldnt buy a plot for about a month, something thats part of the usual game service you pay for. No one could buy a plot for a month, understandably so - why potentially screw up the housing even further? It made sense to pause the lottery. I still don't see a justification for compensation, unless you are just straight screaming "entitlement" for something none of us are entitled to at all.
Why are people feeling so entitled over a video game? You lost nothing more than opportunity. You aren't paying a subscription for any entitlement, you are paying to access the game.
