I would like the forum experience a lot more if putting someone on my ignore list actually made their threads disappear.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

On this forum, at least, it feels like people who DO like the story get all the flak.
I don't hate myself enough to deal with Reddit or Twitter and I don't hate everything enough to deal with Facebook.
Not to take the side of a self admitted forum troll, but yes, they actually are. I have seen some pretty sound arguments being made about the story, like how Zodiark was handled, the randomness of the villain being the villain, the lack of any real feeling of high stakes in the narrative, the final days being over way too fast, the edgy and immature motivation of Meteion, you know, points that makes sense, and they have basically all been slapped down under loads of crying about how the story is awesome, half baked defenses of weird plots like time travel, and straight up rudeness. Tbh, the most real reaction I've ever seen anyone have was crying at the Emet-Selch scenes, but that's just ShB nostalgia. All in all, yes, fans of this expansion has too much virtriol against those who raise critique against it.
If you skip all cutscenes how can you even have an opinion on the story?
You won’t even know what’s happening.
If you are still going about all those places saying story is bad while not knowing what’s going on then you’re probably deliberately antagonising people.
