To be fair it's kind of a similar situation with personals, at least on Zurvan. There are some wards that didn't even have half bid on.

oh boy inflation
This would be the best solution yes, I'd also gladly give up my house for that.your answers are very contradictory and we are getting off topic here. you just can't accept that i would be happy with a reroll because it is fair. Either everyone gets their refund or everyone has to reroll. there is nothing in between. but i can't help but feel sorry for you but even more so for those around you.

You know if it doesn't sit well with you you can just either drop the money to the NPC in 6.2 or you know just buy stuff for that money and discard it effectively deleting the Gil.your answers are very contradictory and we are getting off topic here. you just can't accept that i would be happy with a reroll because it is fair. Either everyone gets their refund or everyone has to reroll. there is nothing in between. but i can't help but feel sorry for you but even more so for those around you.
Personally I don't really care. People who were affected by#0 bug aren't at fault here and I do think it's a good way to compensate for it by SE. Nothing less, nothing more.
I can only hope what they mean is you can voluntarily pay for the house and therefore you can claim the land, otherwise you won't be penalized for having withdrawn your gil and not claim the house therefore it goes back into the lottery pool. My copium is that they are just getting rid of the 50% penalty for not claiming the house and giving you the option to not claim it if you decided you didn't want it, or you miss the period to claim it. In reality, I have no faith in SE to do anything properly so I imagine there will be a bunch of players getting free houses and I can't wait for that to be the next forum disaster and we can move past mods.
The simple solution was if the money was taken, require the money again to finalize. If nothing else, would there not be third party companies who could be trusted and hired to dig through a set of data in order to work out who owes what?
I really, really do not want this situation being exploited down the road as an excuse to implement some sort of 'monthly rent' system for player houses because there's too much excess gil present in the economy...
Whatever your position regarding this issue is, whatever if it's unfair or not, the point I want you all to see is, this is the worst decision ever made, cause this decision makes the community confront each other. Similar to the 3rd party tools statement, because of a lazy decision SE is creating a bigger problem than before. I won't enter on the discusion if this decision is unfair or not, I just want to note that this can't be their final decision or the gates of hell will open upon the game, and 2 sides of the community will be confronting each other because of a bad decision made without thinking on the consequences.

Nah it seems that if you're a winner if the 0 bug plot you're considered it regardless of whether you kept your bid in or withdrew it.I can only hope what they mean is you can voluntarily pay for the house and therefore you can claim the land, otherwise you won't be penalized for having withdrawn your gil and not claim the house therefore it goes back into the lottery pool. My copium is that they are just getting rid of the 50% penalty for not claiming the house and giving you the option to not claim it if you decided you didn't want it, or you miss the period to claim it. They will however add in an NPC in 6.2 to which players that got they house for free can voluntarily pay the money. But that's just it - scout honor thing.
To be fair, you can't accept either the outcome SE has taken. As you yourself seem to be very against it. There is no in between on that either, being more fair.your answers are very contradictory and we are getting off topic here. you just can't accept that i would be happy with a reroll because it is fair. Either everyone gets their refund or everyone has to reroll. there is nothing in between. but i can't help but feel sorry for you but even more so for those around you.
Also your responses have been very instigatory as well. You are trying to mask it behind taking a high road. But you reply in a way to continue inciting said responses that you're against, by which you claim to be getting off topic.
I mean it's nothing we can change now so I hope they at least do something with that like honor the people who actually did return the Gil or at least show us statistics of how many honest players we actually have, that would be interesting to see.
Because I'd assume it'll be less than 10%. I want to be proven wrong though.
