If you beat batral you are guaranted something, and you dont really need a full party. 6 people should be enough.

I'm talking about Batraal chests. With an effort of like 20-25min you will get 4 chests with an item, each worth 1.5k seals handing it in. Do those 4-5 times, and everyone in the group will have 6k seals.
The items on the way to Batraal are just "extra"
But considering your comment I assume you never cleared DH, otherwise you'd know Batraal drops are guaranteed.
I have completed batraal many times, just never with 4 people
Unfortunately the items aren't guaranteed, when we did it on Monday a couple of chests only had Vampire Plants in it. Still, I agree with Thug (I should do, he organised the runs after all) that the DH runs are very efficient, I came away with 5450 seals after an evening of running (3 or 4 hours), that's the equivalent of 50 GC leves or about 12.5 hours of continuous effort and a lot more interesting.I'm talking about Batraal chests. I dont think the dungeons are good. In all my time doing Dark Hold I've seen 3 items in total lol.
I did Toto duelbox in 1 night, I knew exactly where to go, which ones to pop to get 5 chests and do it all as fast as possible, it still took near 15-20 min and sometimes I didnt get an item, so I'd walk out empty handed, this happened way to much and the 15 minute quest would of just been so much more worthwhile as its: 1. Garaunteed and 2. more lazyI can go hit all mobs in about 4 mins, then just AFK/watch tv until 15 min hit XD
boss chest is 100% drop >.>
DH is by far the quickest with a few people to help you run through to the end. After a couple runs from all the AF collecting going on, I was able to nab a few drops just helping other people out. I added that too some of the old DH drops I've had lying in my inventory for forever, and I had around 10k worth of seals right there, without really even "trying" to farm anything. The DOWNSIDE to DH is you can't actually get seals from those drops until you've already reached the highest promotion level IIRC. So it's not good for trying to rank up, but once you've reached the max, it's the best way to grind seals for all your GC purchases.
I did it with NM drops. I was very lucky and got my drops after 2-3 kills. Did the NMs near Limsa Lominsa and near Camp Bloodshore and got around 4000 seals in 2-3 hours.
Toto rak is best you can get to the third boss in 15 mins or less if you know what you are doing. spending about 40 mins in there got me around 4000 seals
