    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Gotta say this has kinda ruined other games for me hehe. Its a very nice system imo, and one of the biggest things I love about FF

    The only minor criticism I have of this is that it doesn't count for endgame. You can have 1 or 2 BiS characters, after that the raid tier is long since irrelevant before you can gear any more. I'd love to mess about with more alt jobs in Savage without knowing that I'm at a 10-20ilv disadvantage to everyone else on their main.
    With actual alts, they all gear separately.

    But apart from that it's a huge plus and I have no idea why other games haven't adopted the idea more.
